We loved the proximity to restaurants and shops in the town, especially the Geyser. Also, the breakfast is delicious, and we would have loved to use the pools if it were slightly warmer. The room we booked is comfortable and spacious, clean and quiet.

Booked for our 20th anniversary, and as an added value it ended being a christmas buffet night at the hotel. The location is perfect for a couple's getaway, cosy cabin style rooms. Mattress a bit too firm fo our taste. Weused the outside hot tubs, very relaxing.
It’s a perfect base for exploring the golden circle and the south coast. There is only 4.3 mi to Hveragerdi and Selfoss, cities with a wide range of shops and restaurants.

location is an isolated cottage overlooking beautiful landscape. There was a hot tub, that we used, and a sauna room.
it has washer and dryer, which was great.
It was so peaceful and remote! I truly was able to get away from it all. We hiked up the Hengill Volcano one day and after 6 hours of hiking we’re able to relax in the geothermal pool. just absolute bliss. location is unbeatable. staff were all friendly. food was amazing. just faultless. great way to spend my birthday!

The hotel staff are friendly, and the design of the hotel is striking against the landscape, but overall the negatives far outweigh the positives. It will stand out as being the worst hotel experience I have had during 2024.
