Everything was so wonderful! The host was so sweet, welcoming and helpful. We got to watch the northern lights from the hot tub which was so magical. Breakfast was a standard Icelandic breakfast and was delicious. The chocolate bread was my favorite. It was also probably the cutest guesthouse I've every stayed in with eclectic decor.

Easy to find.
Breakfast, dinner, and ice cream were great.
We love visiting with the farm dogs and watching the dairy cows eat.
The room had items to make tea in the morning.
Heated floors were nice.

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.

Stayed in Hotel Geysir due to an operational upgrade.
Amazing interior design which is second to none, love the corridors - feels like you’re in a cinema foyer. Room looks great, loads of space and beds are very comfy. Also the coffee pod machine in the room was a great touch. The windows that overhang with a cushion to sit on is a fantastic idea!
The rooms are basic but very comfortable. The best part of this hotel is its location, which is very close to several must-see spots in this area of Iceland. I was also very lucky because, being in a rural area, I could see the Northern Lights from the hotel. Another strength of the hostel is its staff. They are very friendly and welcoming.
The location is a good base for travellers doing the golden circle. They offer northern lights alert. Though we weren’t able to see it in our stay, I imagine the hotel would be a perfect place to see the northern lights.
The yurts are a refreshing welcome to a the conventional hotel/ room. So impressed with how insulated they were. Staff was outstanding and breakfast was excellent. I would definitely recommend.
