We was upgraded from the little Geysir to their main hotel and then upgraded to a deluxe suite. The whole experience was incredible the meal in the evening although expensive was absolutely delicious the breakfast was amazing. There is nothing I could fault this hotel for the staff were lovely and friendly. Can’t wait to come back.

Magnús, the owner, left us our key and a note, and as we were the only guests that night, we enjoyed having the house to ourselves. The kitchen is fully equipped, so we could have some dnner and make tea at the end of a long day. The aurora came out at night, so we went out to the dark field by the entrace to the farm and watched the northern lights form a perfect arch across the sky, like a rainbow. The beds were supremely comfortable and we had a very restful night.

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.

Wish we stayed one more night! Great location around many attractions. The hotel wasn't too big that it was buzzing with tourist every time you left your room (like another hotel we experienced). Lovely farm views. The restaurant was amazing! We ate a lot of lamb on the trip and this hotel restaurant prepared a good cut very well. Friendly staff whos faces were saw from day-to-night as Iceland is a small county and we were just commencing off peak during our stay.

As we were upgraded to the Geysir Hotel this review relates to that hotel, which is beautifully stylish with tall ceilings and lots of stone finishes. Our rooms were spacious with good facilities and comfy beds. The bathrooms were modern, warm and functional.

Warm and comfortable hotel in a remote location. The room was nice but basic, although we were very satisfied. The view of the countryside was lovely. The restaurant was great, both in terms of food and view, and the staff were very nice. We walked for the hotel to the Gullfoss (about 7km round trip), and this was a highlight.
Not the average hotel room. Experience the yurtel and enjoy a cool alternative in a great location. Right beween geysir and gulfoss, it is the perfect spot. Nice People taking care of breakfast. Beds are great. Not much to ask for left…
