Try to check in hotel at least by 12 PM, else extend stay for one more night to enjoy the cool weather (Google for best time). There are no five star hotels over there, prices may in range of INR 2000 - 7000 / 2 pax.

Would recommend for 3 days stay. Dont go on long weekends. You will face traffic jam and lose valuable time. Boating is good. Peeku place charge 300 per person is very high. Rose garden is good. No Atm has cash. Gpay doesn't work due to connectivity issue. So carry enough cash. Food is somewhat expensive. Stay at a hotel away from the town crowd.

Small town, good people, full of green everywhere. Roads are good. Hairpin curves on the way to this hill is too good. Not enough good restaurants at this place. It has rained in the night and thick fog around the town right from evening 6pm till early morning. I simply loved this place.

Go only for scenic beauty and atmosphere,no proper food availability in yercaud.no branded food outlets.you'll die searching for good and proper food.i would definitely avoid Google map ,it took us to a road on the mountain with all stones n no taar or proper road ,had to turn back half way down that too after midnight

-1st day checked in @ White mint hotel and went out to explore boating, shopping and all other famous tourist places and had dinner buffet at Grand palace resort which was only secondary to GRT Great Trails and retired to our room for the night. Next day morning ordered breakfast from room service which was lip smakingly good and checked out...
-2nd day checked in @ Penthouse room in GRT -Great Trails resort Yercaud and stayed the whole day in the resort and enjoyed Infinity pool, tea in the panaromic balcony facing the Salem city, Jacuzzi, sky rope, food at the resort (buffet dinner and next day breakfast) etc...
-Rented a car at Onroadz, salem. All you need is original driver licence and 2 blank cheques which will be returned when you return the vehicle. The rented car made easier for us to travel at our own pace and convenient time.

Had a Happy romantic stay. The rooms were amazing and the hotel team hospitality was heart- touching. The common terrace balcony view was beautiful attraction. Had a extra activities like BON FIRE with DJ and JEEP SAFARI. Entirely it was worth for money.
One pro visiting the hotel was that it made us experience the beautiful mist within the woods as you go higher and higher which someone who belongs from city (and hardly gets a chance to see such scenery) would never forget it
