Cochin should be your place of arrival along with departure unless you are travelling to Kanyakumari (In that case you can take flight for Trivandrum). Spend around 1-2 days in Cochin to look around (Cherai Beach and Athirapilli Waterfalls are must visit). However spend more time in Munnar, Alleppey and Thekkady where you will enjoy the real Kerala.

I managed to explore the central part of the city and was fascinated by the architecture and cozy streets with wonderful shops. Wonderful cafes and beautiful hotels. I only had half a day, and I wished I had more.

Cochin has evolved over the years.
Cochin has evolved over the years. I was quite taken up looking at Cochin now. Looks great with good places to visit. I was there for a short time for a family function and hence couldn’t explore much. But overall looks very appealing

Has a nice old world charm and historical feel. Moving around though is not simple and transport is a bit chaotic. Great shopping in Princess Street in Mattancherry and Jew town. Food options are also very nice.

It's a good place, but far from the airport, one and half hour taxi ride. There's a good hotel, Grand Canyon, better than Hotel Pennakal. Rooms of Hotel Pennakal very small, congested to walk around. Too many mosquitoes. Hotel is upstairs, very steep.

It is an interesting place to visit.
It is an interesting place to visit.
It was terrible to use the ATM at Fort. I tried7 (!) of them. None could give money! Or they were out of charge or money. Or they didn’t gove money to an jnternational card. It costed me two hours, a lot of stress. And still no money

This hotel was our best stay in India during 4 weeks of travel. It is a somewhat old fashioned (in a very good way), provides excellent service, with spacious rooms and good furniture. The interior of the hotel is very cool, has a gym and a roof-top pool. Location is perfect to explore the Fort. Value for money is excellent.
In 3 weeks of touring southern India, this was the best hotel we stayed in. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and cafes, restaurants and shops were a short walk or auto rickshaw ride away.
This is the best place for stay of you are with limited budgets and very easily accessible. You want to stay a night in an AC room with no hassles this is the place... Booking.com has the best deal i guess.
The hotel was a 10 minute walk to the train station and had good restaurants. Very cheap hotel so great if on a budget or only need it for half a day before travelling elsewhere. The shower was good
Overall, though short, the stay was comfortable. A new property, keenly built in the midst of nature, yet near airport. Seems to be a startup, the staff is really helpful. All the best to the team.
