The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were spotlessly clean, and the mattresses were so comfortable. The hotel is located in a great area, not too far from the city centre, and we loved the shops nearby and the scenery around

The location - within a few metres of the lake must be lovely on a bright Summer day. A bit dismal in winter, however.

Lovely home with a lovely host. Claire provided her number in case we ran into any trouble whilst we were in Ireland. We were also given advice on what to see in the area and, as we had a car with us, we were able to go on a lovely drive to the National Park nearby recommended to us by Claire, and could easily get into the city of Galway from the house. A breakfast was provided in the morning and a short walk takes you to the incredible Lough Corrib

This was a great place to explore the surrounding areas.
This was a great place to explore the surrounding areas. It also has a castle in the area and an association with the film The Quiet Man. It is a friendly town with 2 supermarkets and a number of places to eat.

A cute small town with nice restaurants and cafes.
A cute small town with nice restaurants and cafes. A few nice shops. Nice place to stay I'd you're traveling around Connemara. It's about and hour to Kylemore Abby as well as to the ferry or airport that gets you to the Aran Islands. Definitely work a stop if you have some time. Powers is a wonderful pub and restaurant.

Good base for touring Connemara and Mayo. No meals in Hotel.
Good base for touring Connemara and Mayo. No meals in Hotel. We ate our evening meal at pub/restaurant across road from Hotel. I can't remember name but it had a thatched roof and food was excellent.

Hosts were very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. There were kitchen facilities there for making tea and coffee. Lovely views out to Lough Corrib. Breakfast was good - just what I wanted before running the Connemarathon. I would definitely recommend this b and b and would stay there again.
Ann was such a wonderful hostess. I felt very well taken care of. I set off early on the Western Way from Oughterard and Ann even prepared an early breakfast for me.
The BnB itself is very cozy and close to the centre of Oughterard. I really enjoyed my stay.
The accommodation was in a charming and peaceful area. Nature, lake views, and even a castle were within walking distance. A great location for exploring the Connemara region.
