Hotel is beautifully located right on the waters of lower Lough Derg with beautiful views of the lake, Killaloe and the hills on the Clare.
We were upgraded on arrival to a Waterfront room with balcony, which was a lovely treat. Room was gorgeous, clean, with comfy bed and was right on the waters edge

Staying at Old Farm was a fantastic experience as it is beautiful and cosy. Margaret and Alfie were very friendly and helpful. From the minute I arrived I was welcomed and they looked after me very well. All the guests become part of the family! Breakfasts, with fresh laid eggs and homemade bread and jams, and (optional) dinners with the hosts and other guests were a highlight. There was always excellent home-cooked food (with special attention to specific diets), great company, fun and interesting conversations. One day Alfie and a young girl guest made flat breads and a range of burgers, which was so nice to see and eat! Having the hens, ducks, lovable dogs and cats was a bonus. It's a very picture-book place, well positioned for access to many towns and sites of interest, but peaceful as a retreat too. I was also able to work online from there too. Can't wait to go back.

I loved Nenagh. My grandfather was from there.
I loved Nenagh. My grandfather was from there. One thing I really like about Nenagh is the bustling high street full of authentic shops, and not loads of chain stores and identikit places like they have in the UK. It is a good place for people who like walking and outdoor activities.

Nice town with all the services you would want/need.
Nice town with all the services you would want/need. We especially enjoyed the tour of the Heritage Centre. The lady conducing the tours was very personable and knowledgeable, this a definite highlight. Pantry Cafe serves great eat in or "take away" meals. Location was perfect for us to use as a base for travels throughout the area.
The extra touches like lunch and breakfast packages on arrival. The cleanliness of the house and the grounds. The decor and comfort it really was our own private hotel. Perfect area for kids with sports facilities and a gym for the adults. Playground and plenty of space in the garden for kids to roam freely, bringing our dog made it so much easier to get away! The weather wasn't great but the house was so equipped with netflix and board games that it really didn't matter about the weather! Can't wait to return in the Summer!
Nice site, mature grounds well kept. Close to Lough shore. No 8 nice secluded cottage. Heating & hot water both good. Ensuite with shower plus separate family bathroom. Parking outside your own door. Both communal and private outdoor space. Easy car access to Nenagh town and roads to further afield.
Extremely friendly and accommodating staff especially Emma who made our stay that little bit more special. The grounds are beautiful and well kept & the hotel is just outside the pretty town of Nenagh.
The bathroom was new, spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable! A nice location and good price for when you’re not looking to go the hotel route.
