I was there one night with my daughter and would love to go back. Dierdre and Tommy were so hospitable and lovely and the room was beautiful and spacious and had all the amenities you could want including a tea / coffee station. Very highly recommended.

An very impressive breakfast menu! The hosts also were very helpful for food recommendations on New Year’s Eve! Lastly, I really appreciated the 1 pm check out :-)

Continental breakfast was plentiful. The real coffee was a nice surprise. Jake's recommendations for restaurants were sound and his love of Achill Island was apparent.

The property was gorgeous. The lady taking care of the property was so warm and welcoming. She really made this the best stay of our trip (Dublin, Belfast, Donegal, Galway, and Cork) Perfectly located to do whatever you want on the island and still within driving distance of cool towns seen along the way.
Doogort was peaceful and so relaxing. There weren't any shops open while we were there over Easter, which was lovely. There might be more open during the summer. If we needed food we headed to Keel. The Beach Hotel in Doogort was open at the weekend and there were plenty of people in the bar but it closed again once Monday came.
There are a few places to eat on the island, Mastersons bar being the closest. There is also a great wee place called Pure Magic which did lovely pizzas. The drive to Keel doesn't take long and has a few more bars and restaurants.
If you want a quiet break with breathtaking scenery you're going to the right place.
A drive to Keem Bay is definitely worth it but try to go early/late to avoid the crowds. We saw a seal coming out of the water and basking sharks not too far out in the sea.
