It’s stunning from the moment you enter through the gate and when the castle suddenly arises in the distance it takes your breath away! This is a proper castle with everything one imagines a castle to be. The dinner was excellent and creative, all locally sourced.
With stunning design and spacious rooms, The Glasshouse is set on The Garravogue River The View Bar boasts fantastic river views, floor-to-ceiling windows and contemporary design.
The Castle Dargan estate is set snugly in 170 acres of mature woodlands with unrivalled scenery.

Room was a perfect size with a very warm shower room and comfortable beds. Dinner was superb & breakfast was perfectly done the following morning. Spa and golf was amazing...

Situated in Sligo and only 2.1 km from Yeats Memorial Building, Old Fort Lodge features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.
Remotely controlled w/o verification (overflowing waste bin) used as a cash machine, no or only little involvement from owner (Steven?)
There was very little to eat: no cereals, no orange juice, no jam/marmelade. All of which are easy to keep in fridge
No instructions on how to use some of the machines. How can one turn off the light ???
No recommandation but a warning: don't book that appartment

Location is absolutely perfect for castle dargan Hotel or markree Castle.
Fabulous house no hassle at all and we were able to check in an hour earlier also.
2 bottles of water 2 packets of tayto crisps and 2 twirls were in the room for us much to our delight the next morning
A lovely place to stay! Very comfortable bed, very clean, and the little basket with water, crisps and chocolate roll is a lovely touch. Highly recommended. Ideal place to stay if you're attending a wedding in the hotel.
