I liked the hot spring tube, it was perfect after hike on the Mt. Batur. The owner arranged a private tour guide for the sunrise hike to the Mt. Batur. If you wanna have fun and great pictures and videos of yourself, ask for Gede the local guide. At the accomodation they also prepared bonfire with live acustic music on gituar. It's a perfect romantic getaway with hotspring. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared.

This place is amazing, right on the lake with your own hot spring pool and fireplace. Views are incredible across the lake to the mountains. The hosts are a lovely family and will organise anything for you, transport, bike hire, 4wd sunrise Mt Batar tour. The breakfast included in the room stay is good and they will make lunch or dinner also at a very reasonable cost. The bed is very comfortable and the air conditioning cold.

Amazingly beautiful bungalows, great helpful staff! Highly recommend to stay at this place! Asti, her family and staff helped us with everything - my husband and I were sick so she took us to the doctor at night and the rest of our days helped with everything! Thank you very much, Asti and everyone! We will never forget your kindness!

Mount Batur sunrise hike is amazing, although expensive.
Mount Batur sunrise hike is amazing, although expensive. Takes about two hours of walking to get up, it is quite tough. You can pay to go up on a motorcycle. The village has hot springs, there’sa lava field and a bat cave nearby

Not worth visiting the area in my opinion - really dirty...
Not worth visiting the area in my opinion - really dirty area, smell of burning plastic everywhere, very little restaurants, where they try to bargain with you for the meal prices. We walked into a restaurant on the main road and the waitress said there was no menu...then she offered us a buffet lunch, when I asked the price she wrote it on the paper as 100 000 IDR per person, we got up saying it's too expensive and she immediately offered to lower the price to 80 000 per person (we left anyway). The lake is accessible but you can't swim there because of the metal constructions all around the shore (fishing constructions). Because the area is so poor, they will try to make you pay extra for everything - 500 000 per person for a boat ride, 500 000 per person for a hike up Mount Batur... To be honest, the hike wasn't all worth it either, it wasn't anything special. I'd imagined an idyllic mountain scenery when booking our stay for 4 nights but we ended up leaving earlier because it was so frustrating being there. I wouldn't recommend the area - maybe for a day trip from Ubud to do the sunrise hike but that's about it.
