The guesthouse was excellent... Maria made us feel very welcome, the room was very cozy, clean with magnificent view. Last but not least, breakfast was royal. I have been to several hotels, throughout Europe, but Selini overpasses all milestones of comparison. Vitsa also has a nice square where you can relax under a large plane tree and view the upper part of the village. It's a good location for exploring the area by car too but take into account that there are very few petrol stations around.

It is a small village in the mountains, has a lively village square with restaurant. Easy access to next village with more restaurants. Driving in between the villages in the mountains was challenging but it is a very beautiful part of Greece. Vikos Gorge, the mountains and the river were simply spectacular. River rafting definitely worth doing.

Vitsa village is a great location to serve as your base, if...
Vitsa village is a great location to serve as your base, if you like to discover Zagorohoria. Next to it, is Monodendri that has a small hiking trail to Agia Paraskevi monastery (has the oldest chapel in the area) that is build on a rock overlooking Vikos gorge. You can have a few minutes drive up to Oxia lookout to have a fantastic view of the gorge. To the west, you can drive to Kipoi to visit some arched stone bridges and drive up to Vradeto. To the east you can visit Aristi and drive up the zig-zag road to Papigo. We live in coastal Thessaloniki and made our visit in January, so please consider our advise: Drive safely with your winter tyres and watch for ice or the temperature for icing conditions.
For dinner your should make a reservation, because restaurants are crowded. But the people and the food are great so you will surely enjoy it. There are no pharmacies in all of these villages, so be prepared. Also there are no supermarkets, so you might bring some refreshments and snacks with you if you want lower prices. The water in the tap is coming from mountain springs and we haven't drunk bottled water during our stay.
The location was amazing, very close to all of the facilities that Vitsa has to offer. The property was very large with all rooms en suite. The WiFi was quick and the view was simply stunning.the hosts met us at the property to show us around and hand over the keys, they were very friendly and welcoming.
The suite is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The staff: Olimpia, Ayrin and miss Sally were most hospitable and knowledgable about the area. We felt like VIP guests and we highly recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was superb. Same as diner wine recommended by staff also exceeded our expectation. We generally prefer this kind of hotels, small with not so many rooms and with friendly staff and service.
