The hotel is perfectly situated 5 minutes from the centre and a gorgeous view over the valleys below. The two sisters who run it are delightful, nothing was too much trouble. They made sure we had everything we needed, the rooms were spotlessly clean, very comfortable and cosy when the weather was cooler. The beds are also really comfortable, extra long too.
Breakfast is wonderful with plenty of choice and lots of homemade jams and cakes, fresh eggs, fruit... So many things!
We stayed for 5 nights and would have loved to stay longer, it's a super place to base yourself to explore this fantastic area.

Firstly, the host, Petros, was really affable and kind. He showed me around the property and explained clearly. Secondly, the house itself is a gem. The view is breathtaking. It was squeaky clean.

Fantastic location with a great view from the restaurant. We enjoyed the pool and sauna/steam room and there was parking for our motorcycle near the comfortable room. The restaurant was excellent and there is also a cool taverna in the little village that was a short walk down some steps. The staff at reception gave us a map of the area and some tips on where to go which was appreciated. The resort is well located as it is about 25kms to the Oxya lookout at the southern end of the gorge. We only stayed two nights, but we should have made it three as there is quite a lot to see. We really enjoyed staying here.

Ameliko is a restored, stone-built Zagorian property in the stunning mountain village of Ano Pedina. It is a beautful, peaceful and very comfortable hotel, perfect for a break away from the stresses and strains of modern life. Dimitris is an excellent host and advised us on outings and things worth visiting which made for a fascinating and very enjoyable visit. The hotel also has a restaurant which serves a superb breakfast with local treats made with love and care, as well as evening meals.

This is a property with a great deal of interesting family history and unique memorabilia on display, which George will proudly explain. A great deal of thought has gone into making the guests comfortable and the breakfasts are so healthy, abundant and delicious.

Good place for fit hikers on cobbled paths to stone bridges, old villages and Vikos gorge - walking boots recommended.
Vitsa also has a nice square where you can relax under a large plane tree and view the upper part of the village. It's a good location for exploring the area by car too but take into account that there are very few petrol stations around.

It is a small village in the mountains, has a lively village square with restaurant. Easy access to next village with more restaurants. Driving in between the villages in the mountains was challenging but it is a very beautiful part of Greece. Vikos Gorge, the mountains and the river were simply spectacular. River rafting definitely worth doing.

Vitsa village is a great location to serve as your base, if you like to discover Zagorohoria. Next to it, is Monodendri that has a small hiking trail to Agia Paraskevi monastery (has the oldest chapel in the area) that is build on a rock overlooking Vikos gorge. You can have a few minutes drive up to Oxia lookout to have a fantastic view of the gorge. To the west, you can drive to Kipoi to visit some arched stone bridges and drive up to Vradeto. To the east you can visit Aristi and drive up the zig-zag road to Papigo. We live in coastal Thessaloniki and made our visit in January, so please consider our advise: Drive safely with your winter tyres and watch for ice or the temperature for icing conditions.
For dinner your should make a reservation, because restaurants are crowded. But the people and the food are great so you will surely enjoy it. There are no pharmacies in all of these villages, so be prepared. Also there are no supermarkets, so you might bring some refreshments and snacks with you if you want lower prices. The water in the tap is coming from mountain springs and we haven't drunk bottled water during our stay.
Amazing location, staff and facilities. We fell in love with the area. Up high in the Greek mountains, this hotels offers comfort and relaxation to its guests.
The room was spacious and offered good wifi connection, air condition and a comfortable bed. The staff at the hotel were polite and always ready to help us. They even offered us an iron despite normally not having one at their rooms.
The breakfast was great. Some of it was homemade and many local ingredients were used.
The location was amazing, very close to all of the facilities that Vitsa has to offer. The property was very large with all rooms en suite. The WiFi was quick and the view was simply stunning.the hosts met us at the property to show us around and hand over the keys, they were very friendly and welcoming.
A bit expensive compared to the other accommodations around, but an excellent hotel, with a superb breakfast and spa, and magnificent area. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff extremely nice and helpful
Very cozy rooms, excellent service and breakfast. The hotel's location is great! Would highly recommend! The staff was amazing and welcoming! The village of Vitsa is beautiful very picturesque, with a scenic main square!
Nice hotel to stay next to Vikos gorge, good breakfast which you can enjoy in beautiful gardens terrace. Owner was very friendly informative about gorge. Parking, refrigerator in the room.
