Pwlina is a wonderful host and she met us personally to hand over keys and show us around. The house is beautiful and the garden is wonderful for children. Our kids said that this was their favourite place to stay so far! The beach is about 50 metres away and it's just half an hour's drive to the archaeological sites of Philippi. Very clean and comfy, large room, close to the city center where the main attractions of Kavala are.
The host Viki was very friendly and helped us a lot.
The private parking is a huge bonus in Kavala (if you have a very large car it can be a little difficult to park there).
We will came back here every time we are in Kavala.
Probably a nice place, but during the Summer. November is a month where people are not seen, no restaurants, nothing to do. Closest thing to do and enjoy the stay, is to go to Kavala, which have a lot to offer and see.

Nea Karvali does not feel like a holiday location - there is no walk alley along the sea, peppered with cafes / restaurants, there are very limited shopping options, the food stores are rather outdated, so we were going often to Kavala for quality food & veggies/fruits, coffee & eating out.
We stayed close to the kids playground near the sea, and this in the evening was turning into gathering spot for the local teens - playing sport or driving motorbikes or simply talking loudly. Unfortunately, this was right opposite our apartment, so we could not fall asleep till after midnight - rather unpleasant for such a quiet location.
