Elafonisi village itself was really nice. A big pool that opened the 2nd day of our stay. Really beautifully built with a lot of flowerbeds around the buildings and terrasses. You are separated from the tourist flow which was really nice. The family room was ok and they brought out a 5th bed when we asked for it.
Elafonisi beach is amazing. Super clear water with almost white sands with a tinge of pink. Several different water pools to bathe in. The beach furthest out is the best if you do not care about sun beds. A must visit, but be prepared for a lot of tourists. Best early in the morning when few tourist has arrived.

You all were so helpful, thanks alot 😘.... Apartment it's very clean and super cosy with lovely sitting area in front and it's amazing views around. We can highly recomment, and for sure it wasn't ours last visit to Elafonisi resort to George's apartments 😊Location it's fantastic , just 10minuts walk to one of the most amazing beach,, Elafonisi,, of the Crete what it's something absolutely spectacular and can't be missed when visiting Crete. Not too many people for this huge pink sandy large beaches, plenty around such as kiosks, restaurant with amazingly teisty food and beatifull sunset. All there it's there for daily needs. Agnes is very responsible and amiable host. She accommodated early check-in and kept my luggage after check-out. The accommodation is really close to the bus station and supermarket. It is walking distance to the beach as well. Apartment is very clean, recently renovated and has everything you need.
Elafonisi is the most overrated beach in Crete.
Super crowded. The sand is not pink. It's a normal sand. The beach resorts are expensive, usually they are full and the chairs are attached. On top of that, you need to walk 20 minutes to reach the sea.

Breathtaking natural lagoon which everyone is coming to enjoy. Get here before the buses arrive at 10 am or come after 4pm when buses leave otherwise I think it is too crowded. Consider staying overnight at Lafo Rooms.

Elafonisi Beach, with its unique pink sand, is undeniably stunning. However, during the day it can become extremely crowded, making it challenging to find sunbeds. Nevertheless, as the day transitions into evening, the beach becomes quiet, serene, and free from crowds, allowing you to fully appreciate its true beauty, especially during the magical moments just before sunset.

What a ZOO!!!
What a ZOO!!! It’s mid October and the place is still super crowded. Cannot even begin to imagine the crowds in July or August.
Crowds aside… it is an amazing place… beautiful, clear water.. great for young families. One can find a bit of privacy across the water on the spot.

A truly beautiful beach, the nicest I have visited in Crete...
A truly beautiful beach, the nicest I have visited in Crete so far. It is also a very valuable and protected natural site. The beach offers a very varied environment. There is classic seating on the shore under umbrellas and bars. Towards the sea you can enjoy the shallow beach and the sea waves. On the other side there is a quiet shallow lagoon with several islets and a sand spit connecting the coast with the island of Elafonisi. The lagoon is just a paddle away. If you go further, the other side of the island is again washed by the sea and there is also quite a nice snorkeling environment. Because of the size and ruggedness of the place, you can easily find a space for yourself. But there are a lot of people. There is little shade on the spot, so the more experienced ones will occupy the better spots first thing in the morning. It's good to have something to protect you from the sun. You have to go back to the beginning for drinks and toilets, so count on that. Plenty of space to park on site, just the last stretch is not a groomed road so watch your tyres.
The apartment is super clean and has all the facilities and equipment. It feels like home. We have booked a room with big terrace. The view of Monastery with sunset was amazing. The host couple is super nice and friendly. The location is also very great, 9min drive to the Elafonisi beach and serval restaurants and supermarkets nearby. We would definitely stay here again if we come back.

We had an upper room at the front of the property with a beautiful view to the coastline.
About a 5-10 minute drive to Elafonisi Beach. Elena was the perfect hostess.
The beach is really near from the hotel. Bedroom are simple but it’s ok for one night.
