Expectations are totally met by the pictures, the courtyard is stunning and the suite we chose was beautiful. Check in was virtual and easy, breakfast was great. We stayed as we had an early flight from HER the next morning but didn't want an airport hotel - we are so happy we came!

The facility is immaculate. Great location - only 9 minute walk to main square. The unit we had was a 1 bedroom and kitchen. Extremely comfortable. The pool and breakfast area is nicely situated with the rooms surrounding them. The staff and owner were very welcoming. The owner gave us numerous suggestions for the next leg of our trip that were very helpful. We would absolutely stay here again 😊

A delightful, pristine property. Thoughtfully designed and well equipped. The apartment is spacious and has a lovely pool and immaculate terrace It is only a short walk through residential streets to the town which has ample amenities including a specialist Cretan cheese shop. Take a longer walk from the door to reach the church on top of the hill opposite the property, or drive 15 minutes to Knossos. Our stay was too short and we would return to this property without hesitation.

The Villa is wonderful, just as looks at the pictures, also clean and all the facilities are in perfect condition. We had star type of traveling all over the Crete due to the wining central location of the Villa. Just sorry that we didn't have enough time to enjoy the place due to our intensive plan for this vacation. The staff is very friendly and responsive (the small problem with the lights in the kitchen was fixed immediately once communicated), thanks a lot! Highly recommend and we will be tentatively visiting again.

Archanes is located right in the middle of nowhere.
Archanes is located right in the middle of nowhere. Okay, it's quite close to Heraklion and the Palace of Knossos. But if you want to go to the beaches, you have a choice between terribly crowded beaches around Heraklion, and God forbid, Malia... probably the most disgustingly overcrowded beach we've ever seen, or the beaches on the south of the island, which are accessible through winding mountain roads that can be quite challenging to navigate with a weak engine, like the Peugeot 108 we rented.
The best option is the beaches to the west of Matala, which are a bit over an hour away via Road 97 through Heraklion, leading to Kommos Beach just west of Matala. Matala, although charming, is terribly crowded, while Kommos offers a wide expanse of pebbles with an incredible stereo effect: the sound of waves and the "singing" of cicadas. So you can spend a day at Kommos Beach, having quite a spacious area around you and only the sounds of nature, and in the evening, you can go to Matala for dinner, enjoying a charming but not as spectacular as the Polish Baltic Sea sunsets.

Archanes is a beautiful village not far from Iraklion.
Archanes is a beautiful village not far from Iraklion. It has great restaurants, beautiful scenery a well curated archaeological museum and many nearby attractions including Knossos.
We stay here each time we come to Crete as it is a really relaxed Cretan village. It is accessible by car and bus from Iraklion. Narrow laneways and hilly terrain make it a walker’s dream location.

Such a lovely property - characterful, clean and comfortable. Wished we had been there in the summer so we could have enjoyed the pool. Staff very helpful. Excellent breakfast. Great restaurants in the village. We ate i Agora, which we loved. Fantastic food, excellent wine (made by the owners) and extremely good value for money. Can't recommend highly enough.

A surprisingly beautiful hidden location in colourful Archanes. Surrounded in the green you're warmly greeted by a serene but carefully thought out 'home away from home' where, after a day of hiking or sightseeing, you can relax in a little secluded jacuzzi to expell the strain of the day.
A comfortable bed to fall asleep and wake up in followed by a delicious breakfast to kickstart your day full of activities. Should you come short of something, the host will attend to your every need with a big and warm smile.
Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff is very kind and friendly. Loved the atmosphere of this hotel.
In this hotel you won't find a fancy Breakfast, but it's definitely very good.
It was a fantastic time in Archanes, of course also thanks to the wonderful hotel. I will recommend the accommodation to everyone and we will come back ourselves
