Having lived in Woodbridge 1969 - 1972 while serving in US Air Force at nearby RAF Bentwaters, and first child born here …. Quite a nostalgic and enjoyable visit. Enjoyed a visit and tea with current owner of the house we lived at in Woodbridge. Totally lovely to reconnect with Woodbridge and Suffolk.

I would have liked more time to take a trip on the river & explore all the very many independent shops. This is a convenient place to stay if you are planning a visit to Sutton Hoo or the Unruly Pig which are just 10 minutes away ( by car)

The only negative was problems with sat nav.

The only negative was problems with sat nav. Travelling 10 miles to a work venue got lost several times on such a short journey. Sat navs kept changing. However the countryside and villages were beautiful so not so bad. Best use a proper map!

A lovely estuary town, full of history and close to Ipswich,Aldeburgh and Felixstowe . Plenty of things to see locally , there is Rendlesham Forest if you like walking and Sutton Ho if you are a history buff. As someone who loves this area and its history and vineyards I could wax lyrical for ages. Woodbridge is an excellent base to explore the area and accessible by train.

Hotel needs upgrading and refurbishing in every area.

Hotel needs upgrading and refurbishing in every area. Pool out of order for whole of our stay due to issue with chlorine levels which when I checked on TripAdvisor seems to be a regular occurrence.. Completely different and very limited menu options offered to the one advertised. This continued for the whole of our stay as there were some kind of problem in the kitchen and so we ate out after the first night. Don't bother upgrading your room as you will be very disappointed ...as we were.

All staff were very pleasant, especially Gayle/Summer and Molly in the Spa. They spent a lot of time advising on the best places to visit locally. Wonderful (Premier) room, with everything you would expect from a top hotel and superb views. Only thing we couldn't find were the complimentary slippers! Great location for visiting Suffolk. Food and service was very good. Will definitely return again.

The Station Guest House is in a prime location. It is so near all the facilities in Woodbridge including shops, restaurants, cinema as well as the picturesque estuary and of course the station. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the breakfast is amazing. All three rooms have a view facing the estuary. It is a really comfortable and unique place to stay .

Historic property located in south Suffolk countryside. Although it’s an old property the rooms are modern and very comfortable. The ground floor retains many original features. Excellent menu featuring delicious local produce. Very friendly staff. We had afternoon tea which was also delicious.
