Superior room was lovely. Great view over the golf course. Room spacious and clean.
Food was also very nice in the main restaurant.

Having lived in Woodbridge 1969 - 1972 while serving in US Air Force at nearby RAF Bentwaters, and first child born here …. Quite a nostalgic and enjoyable visit. Enjoyed a visit and tea with current owner of the house we lived at in Woodbridge. Totally lovely to reconnect with Woodbridge and Suffolk.

I would have liked more time to take a trip on the river & explore all the very many independent shops. This is a convenient place to stay if you are planning a visit to Sutton Hoo or the Unruly Pig which are just 10 minutes away ( by car)

The only negative was problems with sat nav.
The only negative was problems with sat nav. Travelling 10 miles to a work venue got lost several times on such a short journey. Sat navs kept changing. However the countryside and villages were beautiful so not so bad. Best use a proper map!

A lovely estuary town, full of history and close to Ipswich,Aldeburgh and Felixstowe . Plenty of things to see locally , there is Rendlesham Forest if you like walking and Sutton Ho if you are a history buff. As someone who loves this area and its history and vineyards I could wax lyrical for ages. Woodbridge is an excellent base to explore the area and accessible by train.

Hotel needs upgrading and refurbishing in every area.
Hotel needs upgrading and refurbishing in every area. Pool out of order for whole of our stay due to issue with chlorine levels which when I checked on TripAdvisor seems to be a regular occurrence.. Completely different and very limited menu options offered to the one advertised. This continued for the whole of our stay as there were some kind of problem in the kitchen and so we ate out after the first night.
Don't bother upgrading your room as you will be very disappointed ...as we were.

Grove House Hotel was in a very easy to get to location just on the outskirts of Woodbridge. The room was adequate with tea/coffee facilities in the room. The bed was comfortable even thought our stay was one of the hottest on records but very comfortable especially the fan. There were also toiletries which is always a bonus when travelling too. Excellent breakfasts and wonderful evening meal. Thank you.
Loved everything about this hotel. Having the weather to enjoy the grounds and eat outside was a bonus.
All the food we had was really good. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Service was excellent. Our room on the ground floor, which I had requested, was lovely with a bay window looking out onto the grounds.
We will be back when next in Woodbridge area.
Very convenient location, nice room, friendly staff, good breakfast, Woodbridge is a very interesting town, with streets of lovely old buildings, and interesting riverside walks. The river is tidal, and you can see lots of wading birds - redshanks, godwits, curlews, egrets etc - from very close to the hotel.
Very welcoming hotel in the middle of town. It was very pleasant to stay there. Car park is limited but if you book a slot cones are put up to reserve your spot.
