Despite the dull and showery weather there was plenty to do for three days. If you like cathedrals, Winchester is exceptional, we spent three hours there. Lots of choice for eating lunches and dinner. Marwell Zoo is an excellent conservation zoo and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit there. We walked about 4 miles each day, so perhaps more difficult for the less mobile.

Never stayed in Winchester before and did so now for three reasons: visit to Jane Austen's home in Chawton; visit to Winchester Cathedral; Visits to some National Trust properties. Accomplished all with no problems and was delighted with Chawton, awed with the catherdral and as usual the NT properties were well up to scratch. Good short stay.
