The Stapylton Arms, hotel in Wass

Located in Wass, 34 km from Flamingo Land Theme Park, The Stapylton Arms provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant.

Although off the beaten track the Stapylton Arms is worth a visit for its delicious food, comfortable rooms and friendly service. The restaurant was busy, had an excellent menu and the staff were very helpful. The room had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was generous and well cooked. We would happily return for another visit.

Sugi wooden pod, hotel in Wass

Featuring a hot tub, Sugi wooden pod is located in York. With free private parking, the property is 29 km from York Minster and 30 km from York Railway station.

We stayed at Hinoki retreat last night, and I couldn’t be quick enough to write our review. We booked our stay with a proper retreat in mind, and that’s exactly what we got but with added luxury. Laura & Ben have thought about every little thing, from power banks to charge phones/items & indoor lighting despite it being an electric free site. The wood store is a lovely touch and to be able to still have a private toilet and shower facility. Everything was spotless & clean. The traditional hot tub was a fantastic luxury and we really took in the quiet. There are sometimes weddings held nearby the site and the music does go on until midnight, however this didn’t bother us to be honest! (This is made clear on booking!) We enjoyed having to think about different things and work as a team, one of us in charge of fires and one of us in charge of washing up/ boiling water on the stove to be able to wash up. We are already making plans to return next year! ⭐️

A pretty, traditional, small country village.

A pretty, traditional, small country village. It is situated near woodland and historical abbey ruins and was quiet at night (my companion and I were out all day, each day). It’s handy for many visitor attractions (Rievaulx Abbey; Helmsley Walled Garden and castle; the National Bird of Prey Centre… to name but four). We had our own transport to get us about.

We would highly recommend this place to stay, the hotel was extremely clean and tidy with friendly staff that provided an excellent service. We ate evening meal and breakfast within the hotel which was of a very high standard and catered for all dietary needs. We would like to thank the owners Robert and Gill for such an amazing stay, we would highly recommend both the pub and accommodation 😊

Really helpful friendly staff and the biggest breakfast ever. The lounge upstairs for residents was also very useful. The evening menu was extensive and all the food we had was really tasty. We enjoyed everything about our stay. We had been going to stay in Helmsley (10 minutes away) but were so glad we chose Wass instead.
