We have stayed here before and chose to stay again after a wine tasting at the local Waddesdon Manor. In this case the wine tasting was more a presentation about the origins of Rothschilds wine, an interesting tour of the wine cellar, and visitors only got to sample two glasses of their good wines, so we could have driven home. But we had already booked our room so we stayed. Five Arrows is a nice country hotel, built in the same attractive style as much of the older part of the village, and its comfortable inside. Good for a short stay or after visiting the manor. Staff were all friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Waddesdon Manor is just extraordinary! French chateau style and packed with mainly pre-revolution French furniture. The gardens are lovely and we were lucky enough to go at daffodil time - highly recommended!

Waddesdon is a small village, about 5 miles mid way between Aylesbury and Bicester. Very handy for National Trust Waddesdon Manor, which is a lovely place to visit and also has a decent children’s woodland playground.
There are a couple of pubs, which were recommended by the B&B.

The sheer grandeur and splendour of the house and its contents, the immaculate gardens and the knowledge of the room guides. The garden tour was especially valuable in setting the context of the house, which we toured afterwards, as Ferdinand's setting for his art and other collections and for his entertaining.

Waddesdon manor really know how to do Christmas.
Waddesdon manor really know how to do Christmas. We loved the lights , decorations and Christmas market. I'm looking forward to going again to see the rest of the house. It was just like stepping into a French chateau. If you're for the walk to and from the car park is great but if not the bus is a good choice.

There is nothing to Waddesdon apart from The Manor which has to be seen to be believed - mind blowing - it cannot be missed! So many treasures in room after room with a beautiful garden etc. The Five Arrows Hotel is perfect for staying very very near Waddesdon Manor - literally at the end of the entrance to it,

From checking in to checking out we were dealt with in an upbeat, friendly and efficient manner. Good and wine were excellent as was service. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning because the buildings are listed.

The Five Arrows was perfect for our one night stay alongside our visit to Waddesdon Manor. The room was lovely and had everything that’s needed for a comfortable stay. Excellent food served in the restaurant.
The grounds are easily accessible from the Hotel. The staff we encountered within the Hotel were all super friendly, in particular Sally at reception who provided phenomenal service.
Location was excellent for our visit to Waddesdon Manor: The dinner was excellent and great to have Waddesdon own wines.
The en suite was well fitted with an excellent shower.
