We loved staying at this hotel. Romantic hotel with a beautiful view. The dinner was very good and the best porridge I had during our whole stay in the UK. I can definitely recommend the Horn of Plenty, it is worth staying there.

Tavistock is one of the old stannary towns and has managed to keep its old charm with a pretty town centre and some beautiful buildings. It is the gateway to the west of Dartmoor with all that offers.

The Annex restaurant is great and fantastic value.
The Annex restaurant is great and fantastic value. There are some nice bakeries and the market is very nice. The best thing about the town is access to Dartmoor. We use it as a base for our walking holidays and you can get to most of the Western and central moor within half an hour.

We went for the Goosey fair.
We went for the Goosey fair. It was very busy and parking is very limited in the town. We had meals at Wetherspoons. Nice to stroll along the river. If we book again for the fair, it will have to have parking at the property.

I highly recommend this beautiful guest house to anyone visiting the area. The owner couldn't have been any nicer when I arrived, spending time showing me around and explaining where everything was.
The location is right in the heart of Tavistock. So everything is all within a short walking distance.
The room was lovely with the most comfortable bed I think I have ever slept in. Everything was exceptionally well presented with high standards of cleanliness.
I really couldn't recommend One Drake Road highly enough.
It was our first holiday in Devon and we’ve had an amazing time at Bluebell cottage. Everything we needed was there and we’ve felt at home immediately. From books to teas, the owners were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Also, the cottage and garden are very very pretty!!
We’ve been here for 2 weeks and explored Devon and Cornwall. We absolutely fell in love with the area and we’ll definitely be back for some more pasties, hikes and exploring!

Another lovely stay in this superb little hotel.
The food was wonderful, the staff friendly and the location is great for seeing the area. So much to see just in Tavistock if you make the effort to wander into the back streets and along the river
we liked the setting by the river Tavy and the
access to the garden where we watched the
kingfishers flying up and down the river.
the breakfast was amazing, better than any hotel.
good value for money.
