Loved our stay here. We only had 1 night away so wanted to make the most of it. After a mix up with check in times due to booking.com not advertising the correct time, our hosts were able to have our room ready for 1pm. Usual check in is 2pm, so still very good. Check in was via a key safe so also very straightforward. The room (5) was clean and bright. The TV was decent, the bed lovely and firm and there was a desk with 2 very comfortable chairs. The room has an en suite bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. Despite being opposite a very large car park, there was very little noise at all so we got an excellent night's sleep. We also parked for free just around the corner. Would absolutely stay here again as it's so close to the town centre and high street.

Swanage is quite possibly the jewel of the Dorset seaside towns. Unspoiled by big franchise business. It was wonderful to reminisce about our visits when our girls where young and many of the small businesses still surviving.
The views are magnificent. The town still has a wonderful welcoming charm. A clean sandy beach for those warmer days.
An absolute gem of the Jurassic coast.

A compact and lively town, great to walk around, good for eating , great choice of fish and chips, and fine dining at the Salt Pig and McKenzies, fun to explore on foot. And don't miss the Swanage Railway, with its steam engines and comfortable carriages , perfect for a trip to Corfe Castle and back.

Lots of independent shops and cafes.
Lots of independent shops and cafes. Nice walks along the beach front and up over the hill to pevril point. Easy to catch buses to various other locations like Poole or Corfe Castle. Steam train ride to Corfe castle. Only dissapointment for us is that we required Gluten free options when eating and none of the fish and chip shops offered this. The one place that did " The Black Swan Inn", was fully booked so I woud advise anyone needing gluten free options to books early.

A traditional seaside holiday resort with no loud modern activities. Independent shops and eating places and a lovely pier to walk on. Quite a small place full of character. Boat trips and fishing trips round the bay and even Punch and Judy on the beach which sums up the feel of the place. Great walks round the cliff top with stunning views. A steam train ride to Corfe Castle is also possible.

Wonderful beach.
Wonderful beach. Amazing restaurants and generally nice people. 10 out of 10 for everything. Smoke on the water restaurant was amazing, good value food. Loved it.
A lack of parking is a shame, particularly if you struggle to walk any distance.
Fortunately I had my daughter able to drop me off and then go and find somewhere to park. We coped. Wonderful Swanage .

Lovely clean, comfortable room with a super view of the hills behind Swanage. Family room, so had a double bedroom and a separate single room, all beautifully decorated. Breakfast and room service was great and staff were very helpful and friendly. View from breakfast room over the sea is amazing. We went down the 114 steps from the garden to the sandy beach - was beautiful.
The Hotel is right in the centre of Swanage so walking distance to the beach, shops and cafes. There is parking available which is also a real positive. The staff are very friendly and helpful too.
Very well equipped kitchen, good space and lovely additions such as wine, biscuits, milk and crisps on arrival. The flat was close to the beach and near the centre of Swanage.
