With a rich and vibrant history, the riverside town of Tewkesbury features stunning scenery, including almost 400 listed buildings and an elegant 900-year-old Abbey.

We were surprised at how elegant and spacious our room was. It's an old building dating back to the 1400-1500s but the amenities and decor are up-to-date. These folks pay attention to every detail. When we arrived, there was an old fashioned radio playing classical music very softly. A tray was set for making tea, with biscuits and water. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel bar was lovely. We did not have dinner there but did have a drink. The breakfast was lovely with all the typical English offerings. The hotel itself is gorgeous with all the old ornate woodwork and original windows. The history of the hotel is featured on the walls as framed artwork. It's historically connected with the John Moore Museum just up the road. The hotel is very centrally located with easy access to just about everything, including the Avon River that runs close behind it. We had a lovely walk along the river on our way back from the Abbey.
I highly recommend this hotel and this town.

Lovely historic inn right on the river Severn. Great staff, good quality food and a comfy bed. Location is fab.
Fresh milk and a fridge in the rooms.
The beautiful, half-timbered Bell is across the street from Tewkesbury Abbey. It has a friendly bar and restaurant and cozy bedrooms with attached bathroom, some offering views of the Abbey.
Ideal location for easy access off/on the M5 . Plenty of parking, access to 24 hour services. Good if you are travelling alone. Feel safe .
Good nights sleep with all the facilities you could need.
Starting to look a bit tired but adequate for a short overnight stop….

a convenient overnight stop when travelling long distance and a very fair price. staff cheerful. we had 2 rooms travelling as a family. beds clean and comfy, hardly noticed the noise of the motorway. bedside and central lights didn't work. bathrooms could have been cleaner.
We have a caravan in Tewksbury that was in flood water so we had to sort it out and rescue our property. The hotel was close enough that we could go back and forth easily. The fact that our two Greyhounds were welcome was the deciding factor when choosing where to stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean.
spacious room as had our 2 dogs with us, comfy large new? bed and large new? sofa
dogs now have their own loyalty cards so after 5 visits, 6th free!

Great value, comfortable room. Super situation for overnight stay to break the long journey. Also easy to visit family in Worcester. Super amenities at Strensham services. Highly recommend.😊
