A very pleasant hotel with a hint of glamour! My room was comfortable and well equipped, and very good value. It is in a great location at the end of the high street.

Perfect situation for local shopping and the excellent...
Perfect situation for local shopping and the excellent retail outlet, plenty of local places to eat. Situated centrally for visiting coastal and countryside locations. Easy access to the property. You can ditch the car and walk everywhere within the town, Clarke’s Village is four minutes walk away. The food court was open till 10pm and it was the best Prezzo we have been in over many years. The service and standards were exceptional.

Street has local shops and cafes, and Clarks Village which is perfect for an easy stroll round well-known branded outlets. Somerset is lovely throughout, so Street is a good spot to stay if you want to go to Wells, Somerton or many other historic and interesting towns and villages. The countryside is lovely too.

Both, in Street and in Glastonbury, the transport company should provide more frequent buses, knowing that it is a tourist place and much more so at this time of year.

The High Street in Street has plenty of choice for eating...
The High Street in Street has plenty of choice for eating and drinking and, of course, the Clarks Village is just a minute's walk away. The Bear Inn, is a fabulous pub, restaurant and hotel all in one. There is also a Fondo Lounge on the High Street, a great ecclectic bar/restaurant brand which we love. Not far at all from Glastonbury too, so you can pop in and out without paying Glastonbury prices! There is also an outside public swimming pool for any adventurous tourists. We didn't use the buses but there were plenty of them around. Street is a compact, well connected and well resourced satellite town, and a great base for travelling inland and coastal Somerset.

Our host Jo was lovely, friendly, and helpful. She took it in her stride and was very understanding when I had to call her past midnight for assistance. The comfort and cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms was outstanding. Jo provided plenty of food so we didn't need to shop (eating our main meals out). I thoroughly recommend a stay at Hygge Somerset!
Location excellent for Street Shopping Outlet.
Lovely hotel, staff accommodating, rooms large (we were in Blossom Cottages), clean and functional.
Ate in the restaurant, food superb, that made us decide to have breakfast. Breakfast great value for money.
The Wessex Hotel is a short drive from Glastonbury and provided a comfortable and relaxed stay for a night. The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff were really lovely and friendly. It has a great relaxed feel to it.
Spacious, clean, secure with all necessary utensils, plates, glasses etc. Close to Street and Clarks Village and 5 minute drive into Glastonbury. Would definitely book again.
