The accommodation was basic. It was clean. The noise from other rooms in the wing we were in was loud at time and disturbed our sleep. The breakfast was good and hearty. You have to pay for your coffees and teas with breakfast as this is not included in the room rate if breakfast is included The shower did not work properly

The whole experience was wonderful 😊 the staff, the food, the location was perfect, the price was very affordable. We will definitely go back and will be recommending it to our family and friends. We were treated like old friends revisiting. There was this lovely old-fashioned fireplace in the dining area and it had a roaring fire which all regulars and visitors continually stoked and fed as and when needed. We felt so at home and so welcomed by everyone.

The hotel is in a glorious setting. It had a luxurious feel. Our ground floor room was stunning. Breakfast and dinner were very good though we enjoyed dinner very much it was costly which could put us off staying longer. That said Bed and Breakfast was fairly priced and the staff is a credit to the hotel. The receptionist was warm and welcoming and this was consistent throughout the hotel. We had a special stay.

Hotel is in a quiet village a few miles from Stanley. Very quiet even on Saturday night but an excellent bus service means it is not cut off. All the people we met in the village were very friendly and helpful.

The purpose of our stay was to be close to the Beamish Museum.
Beamish working museum was amazing and would highly recommend; it has lots of interesting areas to visit. The staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. There was regular transport to get you around the site. Plenty of food stations and places to rest. Beamish is a must and still adding more interesting historical attractions. The fish and chips are a must, you could buy a smaller portion called a Dab - more than enough; cooked in traditional beef dripping which brought some memories. A fabulous trip down memory lane. Remember to charge your mobile as there are lots of pictures to be taken.
We visited a pub called The Blue Bell, with Turkish cuisine which was very tasty. Nicely decorated, and warm and inviting. Staff very friendly.
The Ball Alley was situated in a great spot to enable to easily access Beamish, it was also situated near a garage & shop.
There is much more to visit if you check out local attractions but we had to be off early to get home.

Location was great only a few minutes from the Wedding venue. So nice to have an apartment instead of an hotel room.
Host Andy was especially friendly and helpful in providing us with a travel cot and high chair.
Every thing, lovely hotel, friendly staff, great choice of food reasonably priced, great breakfast. Room (courtyard) was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely recommend and will return
Room was basic but clean. It was an ideal location for us as we were attending a wedding party at a nearby hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great!
