Castle View, hotel in Stafford

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Castle View features accommodations with a garden and free Wifi. This apartment offers free private parking and luggage storage space.

With all the extra space, it was the perfect stop for us to spread out and reorganize our luggage after 5 weeks of travel. The kitchen and dining room were a welcome change after weeks of cramped quarters. Shower water pressure and temperature were great. On-site parking a big plus.

    A very short stay.

A very short stay. Wondered around the area, market place etc saw and was impressed with the Guildhall and High House. Unfortunately not enough time to visit other sites due to time allotted to attend special function.

great county town of staffordshire, lovely castle and local history. bustling little market town. Surrounding areas of the stunning cannock chase and Shugborough Hall and the cannals nearby. Great access to motorways if using Stafford for a base to explore the rest of staffordshire as Alton towers not far and the potteries ie stoke on trent with Hanley and other area famou for the pottery,

Town lovely and clean, nice place to walk around. Beautfiul park between Town and Railway Station. Very nice places to eat, used the restuarants instead of the pubs for grub. Lovely morning coffee at the Swan Hotel.

It is a great location which is not far from any of the activities we had planned (alton towers, hoo zoo and the monkey forest) with great transport links to so many places that you would easily be able to extend the holiday of you wanted to! It was very easy to get around stafford but it does look like the highstreet has taken a huge hit with not much there, sadly this is something I've seen a lot of with covid so we stayed at the new riverside bit when we realised and just to the cinema. The food at the zizii in riverside was excellent and the staff very friendly. If you want a busy and jam-packed highstreet this probably isn't the place for you, but it does have enough and is surrounded by other amazing towns and activities as well as being very beautiful and easy to both drive and walk around.

We live locally & only stayed as it was close to a music festival we attended. Lots of places to visit in surrounding areas though. Pretty villages, walking, canals, historic places to visit too. We didn't visit anywhere else but have done so previously so recommend Shugborough, Stafford Castle, Attingham,

Stafford is underrated as a place to visit.

Stafford is underrated as a place to visit. The town Centre is a gem. St Chad’s Church is steeped in history and the volunteer guides are very good. The Ancient High House is open and houses a museum, which is free to visit.

Sadly, I cannot answer this question. I did not stay here although I booked and paid in full. I had advised late arrival (late evening) Could not find the hotel in the dark. Could not find the car park. Phoned 24-reception but no reply. So... I drove 4 hours to get home instead of staying in Stafford after major corporate event in Stafford as I had hoped. Disaster.
