Covinience for trip. Dog friendly, not extortionate charge for dog.

Breakfast ok, took a while to order tea. Teapot spout was damaged, could be a harbour for germs. Disappointing.

Lovely old building, painstakingly restored. Bar area was very comfortable with a good selection of drinks on offer. We ate a light lunch and dinner later and the food was very good, Service was very good. The hotel room was very spacious with plenty of seating and all amenities were adequately provided for.

Host was great, clear instructions on how to get to the property, enter and what needed to be done. The cot was already made up and space out front for the car. Liked the games and darts, plenty of facilities in the kitchen too. House warmed up quickly too and has a Nest thermostat which is responsive. Appreciated there being some tea/coffee making facilities and bread/juice for breakfast too!

The town is a lovely historic area ,I travelled from Shrewsbury and there is similar. The big difference is Shrewsbury is Shabby Sheik ,and Stafford is Shabby ,at night it is dead to dead a little frightening even for a bloke . I walked all through the town and only Wetherspoon's was alive . I didnt like the kids with no lights wheelying the electric bikes through town . Can we either give them some lights or arrest them I will spend more time exploring the town and its museums next time

great county town of staffordshire, lovely castle and local history. bustling little market town. Surrounding areas of the stunning cannock chase and Shugborough Hall and the cannals nearby. Great access to motorways if using Stafford for a base to explore the rest of staffordshire as Alton towers not far and the potteries ie stoke on trent with Hanley and other area famou for the pottery,

It is a great location which is not far from any of the activities we had planned (alton towers, hoo zoo and the monkey forest) with great transport links to so many places that you would easily be able to extend the holiday of you wanted to! It was very easy to get around stafford but it does look like the highstreet has taken a huge hit with not much there, sadly this is something I've seen a lot of with covid so we stayed at the new riverside bit when we realised and just to the cinema. The food at the zizii in riverside was excellent and the staff very friendly. If you want a busy and jam-packed highstreet this probably isn't the place for you, but it does have enough and is surrounded by other amazing towns and activities as well as being very beautiful and easy to both drive and walk around.

We have stayed at the Swan several times and it is always good. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, being right in the middle of Stafford High Street. You can always park if you have a car, it is a very short walk from Stafford train station if you travel by train. The food is always good and the bars are well stocked.
This was my 3rd visit to Stafford and 2nd time staying at the vine Hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for Martin he always goes above and beyond. Rooms are clean with good facilities everything you need for a base to stay. The location is excellent, literally a stones throw away from the town centre.
