Loved the room and the huge bathroom was a massive bonus. It was luxury hotel level which I did not expect from a local rooms above restaurant. The town has everything you need too.

Clear instructions to enter the property, excellent facilities including great coffee machine, little treats in the mini fridge and toiletries. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Hosts were very communicative and helpful.

Shipston is a good location to be based at in order to explore the towns and villages around the Cotswolds. We ate in 3 restaurants in Shipston. The George and Buon Gusto which were both very nice with reasonably priced good food. We also ate in The Bower House, which provided really wonderful food.

Really lovely village.
Really lovely village. The George Hotel is a great place to stay. Lots of tourist attractions close by. Really lovely scenery. Lovely quirky Indian restaurant close by that's great value for money. There's lovely cafe close by for breakfast too and some lovely shops.

The hotel is shocking!
The hotel is shocking! Possibly the worst I've ever stayed in and I've camped!
The bar area was probably the best part of the hotel room was very dated and in need of a very good clean the staff basically left us to it no interaction or anythin unless I approached them with an issue

this is a rural area in the Cotswolds and a marvellous, quiet, relaxing place.
easy access to several towns in the area, with small roads that allow you to really visualise life in the countryside. I highly recommend it for those who love this kind of environment.

Pleasant area.
Pleasant area. Small centre but enough to cover various needs. A variety of Shops and restaurants. Easy access to other Cotswolds towns and villages and Statford on Avon. Lovely visits to eat at the Bower House and Frattelis, highly recommend both.

We had an amazing stay. The hotel was very central to all we wanted to see, gardens, castles, towns, Oxford and other sites.
The room was huge with a very nice big comfortable bed. All the amenities were available in the room from coffee machine, kettle, bar fridge etc.
The bathroom was great and almost bigger than the room itself (bathtub and shower). All was very clean.
Thank you for a super stay.
Perfect location, right on the very edge of beautiful Shipston on Stour. Flat was lovely with 2 double bedrooms, comfortable lounge and kitchen. Everything you could need was right there and so close but no outside noise you could expect from such a great location. Naomi, the host, was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. It was a fantastic long weekend and we will definitely stay here again.
The hotel was clean and a good size room, could do with some curtains because it got light early in the room, breakfast was the best we have ever had, wish we lived closer so we could have breakfast there every weekend. All staff members were helpful and polite
