The location is spectacular! The ferry ride to the island is short and very scenic. Everything feels like a scene in a movie! Would definitely go back
Situated on the picturesque Isle of Raasay, a 5-minute walk from the ferry terminal, newly refurbished in 2013 Raasay House Hotel is nestled in a Georgian mansion with beautifully landscaped lawns.
Set in a converted cluster of fisherman’s houses along Portree Harbour the hotel offers plenty of character and quirks. There are 17 en-suite bedrooms with all expected facilities.

The service was absolutely outstanding—every staff member I encountered was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable.
The room was another highlight of my stay. It was incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind. The layout was well-designed, and the amenities provided were top-notch. I particularly appreciated the extra space, which made my stay feel even more luxurious.

I loved that when the room states bathroom and the room actually does have a bath. Due to Storm Eowyn I was stranded on Skye an extra night and was given a nice discount to stay another day and night.
Overlooking Portree’s quaint harbour, this contemporary hotel serves fresh produce from Skye and the surrounding Scottish Highlands in its restaurant, Dulse & Brose.

Lovely location, friendly staff nice room with great views.
Lovely location, friendly staff nice room with great views. Restaurant is only serving same bar menu. Food was horrible and very limited choice. Believe hotel is short staffed so expectations need to be managed.

The location is superb, the house is great, the hosts are brilliant, the food is fantastic, and the rooms are all large, light, airy, with en-suites. The 4 poster bedroom is the best I've come across! I wholeheartedly recommend, for B+B, but also for dinner.

Good area to access hiking trails and central for touring.
Good area to access hiking trails and central for touring. Probably not representative of how it is normally ie out of covid period with many more visitors and campervans everywhere- but thats the way Skye is nowadays beautiful scenery and very peaceful during our trip, with no midges!!
