Brylach Steading, hotel in Rothes

Featuring a garden and views of inner courtyard, Brylach Steading is a holiday home situated in a historic building in Aberlour, 12 km from Elgin Cathedral.

We stayed in the Hayloft which is a one-bedroom unit. I'd say it was better equipped than many 4 bedroom houses we've stayed in and the whole place has a lovely home from home. Scrupulously clean and so quiet it was serene.

Rothes is a very quiet town.

Rothes is a very quiet town. There are no other restaurants in town. However the hotel restaurant is excellent. There is nothing to do in the town itself, but it is located in the heart of the scotch trail with many distilleries. Too many to visit in fact.

    Ok for a walking base.

Ok for a walking base. No eating facilities in village due to COVID restrictions. Very busy thoroughfare for distilleries so no good for peace and quiet. Free parking good. With COVID everything closed even whisky bars in the pubs.
