The friendlyness, the location and everything really
The Sands B&B in Rostrevor, County Down is found beside the sea in Victoria Square. It’s a 5-minute walk from the village, and rooms have beautiful views of the sea and Mourne Mountains.

The Nook was so clean, modern and comfy! The host Hugh couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful, recommending where to eat and drink and suggesting things to do in Rostrevor. Everything you could have needed was there, Ninja air fryer, microwave, fridge etc. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was class, Hugh had even gotten milk bread and water etc for us which was much appreciated. Location wise, The Nook is again perfect, literally right beside Kilbroney park and Rostrevor Forest etc. It honestly was like a home from home, had the best weekend there and we can’t wait to go and stay again ☺️👌🏻

Rostrevor is a must for anyone visiting Ireland......it is a magical village set against the backdrop of the Mourne Mountains and on the shores of beautiful Carlingford Lough. It is so peaceful and idyllic and offers a perfect mix of tradition, culinary delights, talented artists and good craic!
As the song goes......"if you ever go across the sea to Ireland"......make sure you visit Rostrevor

Rostrevor is tucked into the base of the Mourne Mountains and the mountain never leaves you...Behind each roof top is a lovely green mountain framing your experience and calling to you to come back. You can walk everywhere and get right up onto the mountain right away. The food is fresh and coastal and moderately priced. The Folk Music is some of the best I've found anywhere.

John and Anne were friendly and breakfast was nice .
We had a sea view room which was nice and the place is not noisy.
The only thing l didn’t like was that it rained all day on Saturday so we were unable to explore the area

Padhraic made our stay very welcoming. Everything was spotlessly clean and the house has everything you need. The location is very close to Rostrevor town and a short walk will bring you in. We visited the Monastery while we there and this was lovely also. I would reccomend staying here to any couple or group of friends.
Thank you Padhraic :)
Tina and Brendan were very warming and amenable. Tina even drove us into Rostrevor for the music festival and dinner. Then, Brendan picked us up! Nothing was a bother. The house looks out over the water. Gorgeous people and an amazing stay. A magical find. The room was very comfortable, quiet and big with our own coffee/tea making facilities.
Well located B&b,John and Anne very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and enjoyed our trip via the ferry to Carlingford, and Rostrevor Inn good place to have a meal and look at their display of local history.
