Staff were amazing, so incredibly friendly and helpful. They bent over backwards to help. The room, toilets and restaurant were very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature was easy to control. There are incredible views from the restaurant and the food was nice pub food. It is table service and the food is all freshly cooked to order where possible - obviously not practical with something like lasagne (which was nice). Think they said everything is made on site rather than bought in. You do need to allow time for the table service and fresh cooking though as not the quickest process.
The Royal Clarence Hotel (on the Seafront) is the only hotel located opposite the beach in Burnham-on-Sea. Free WiFi is available in all areas of the Hotel.

It was gorgeous, comfortable, cozy, and within walking distance of all the restaurants, cafe's, and shops. Everything was less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. I will definitely go back and always recommend this hotel as a place to stay. I felt safe, taken care of and comfortable.

Unfortunately I found nothing nice about it, we were greeted with a man with his phone in his face, told us to hold on. The room was filthy it may have had a quick clean but the dust was awful, the mould around the bath. The bed linen was damp. It needed a good clean. 178 I paid for one night and I'm disgusted.
No breakfast vouchers given even though I had paid, however that was sorted out but wish I hadn't bothered paying extra for the breakfast. Would not recommend.

Read the main review - but I would add that you have to remember that this is on the northbound carriageway and if travelling south, you will need to go past it, get off at the next junction, and then join the carriageway north.

Only a one night stay, but the stop filled all requirements. It was quite a distance from our evening destination, so not ideal but that was our fault. The only problem we had was returning late to the hotel, there was only one parking space, partly occupied by a container. By making the passenger get out, and parking very close to the container, we managed to squeeze the (fairly small) car in. I have no idea what we could have done if this wasn't successful, as parking elsewhere on the site had a time limit and penalty.
Just stayed for 1 night to break up an 8 hour drive but was a really decent hotel, excellent value for money. Plenty of places on Just eat/Deliveroo and free parking.
