Halvard Apartments at Castletown, hotel in Port Erin

Halvard Apartments at Castletown enjoys a location in Castletown, a few steps from Castle Rushen and 14 miles from TT Grandstand. With sea views, this accommodation features a patio.

The accommodation was exactly as described, bigger than I'd imagined and in a beautiful setting. It was wonderfully clean and high quality with everything we could have needed including the small important things we always forget in self-catering - washing up liquid, tea towels, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets etc. Asma and Lisa could not have been more helpful or accommodating. A perfect stay, thank you so much.

Very good location. The property mainly corridors and as a first impression is slightly old and can do with some renovations and repairs. Although once inside the rooms, they are very clean and spacious. It is very convenient to get to and rooms are facing the promenade. Overall a very pleasant experience and would definitely stay again. The reception staff was very lovely and friendly!

Port Erin is in a beautiful secluded cove, with a great sandy beach, nice coastal walks, and a good selection of bars, restaurants and cafes. You can take the steam train to the capital, or there is a good bus service. We had a very pleasant evening boat ride as well. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely bay and beach. Several places to eat out, including the 'must have' fish and chip shop at a seaside location. Very easy to get around most parts of the island by public transport. Supermarket and a variety of other shops. Great ice creams.

Port Erin is a small seaside town with good pubs/ restaurants and a lot of activity centred around the beach. The Foraging Vintners bar on the beach is very popular and does good coffee during the day. There is a steam railway which goes through beautiful countryside and coastal scenery all the way to the Island’s capital Douglas.
