We stayed while walking the SW Coast Path. Super friendly staff who seem to care about their guests experience. Our room was petite but very comfortable and clean. Great location. Excellent multi-choice breakfast even for a vegetarian.

This BnB is beautifully managed. Everything is perfect. My room was large, clean, and comfortable and the en suite had an excellent shower. When I entered the room I was concerned about the noise from the very busy street but as soon as I closed the window there was silence. The location is great - near all the shops and only a short walk to the Coastal Path. Breakfast was excellent - perfectly cooked and served The owners are friendly and super helpful.

Porlock, on the north coast of Somerset, is a delightful village that offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. My recent visit to Porlock left me thoroughly enchanted by its natural beauty and quaint charm. The village backs onto the breathtaking landscapes of Exmoor National Park providing a stunning picture of rolling hills and lush greenery. The coastal views are spectacular, especially from Porlock Weir, where the dramatic meeting of land and sea creates a mesmerising sight. Walking through the village, I was struck by the picturesque cottages, charming shops, and friendly locals who made me feel welcome. Porlock's historical allure is evident in its well-preserved buildings and the stories they have to share with visitors. One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the coast. Whether going up to the scenic Porlock Hill for panoramic views or enjoying a leisurely stroll along the coastal paths, there was no shortage of outdoor adventures. Overall, Porlock in Somerset is a true gem, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, historical charm, and warm hospitality. It's a destination that promises relaxation, adventure, and a touch of magic. I can't wait to return and experience more of what this enchanting village has to offer.

Charming little village just back from the coast - although the sea, and Wales on a clear day, were clearly visible. Nice local shops and cafés - not a chain in sight! People very friendly, good pubs.

A nice little village but not a lot of great places to eat.

A nice little village but not a lot of great places to eat. There is a lovely cafe called the Old Library which has delicious food but the rest of the offerings were more basic and like pub food. It has a friendly and welcoming Methodist Church and seems to have a thriving village hall. It's a good base to be in but a bit limited in and of itself.

A lovely, pretty village. Had a nice meal in top The ship. Plenty of team rooms. Easy to park there at a reasonable price. Porlock Weir is well worth a visit or even a stay. The locals were very warm and welcoming.

The location is perfect for exploring the coast and the coastal side of Exmoor. The town has enough amenities for a week's stay and the people were friendly and welcoming. The food options were limited to the pubs the hotel and a fairly basic pizza place. The access roads are quite steep and narrow but fine if you're not in a hurry. Rainy day options are limited though.

Faultlessly clean and immaculately presented property in an accessible location. Room is spacious and bathroom is stocked with everything you could need but not carry if you’re walking the Coast Path or travelling light. Welcome from the proprietors felt warm and genuine, very important for solo travellers who often haven’t spoken to anyone in a while! Would recommend to anyone passing through the lovely village of Porlock.

Located off the main road in Porlock with vehicle access meant unloading and loading luggage was easy as just pulling up and getting everything inside. Secure parking site located 20 seconds away meant easy access to your vehicle if so desired. Property was lovely and clean with good WiFi when relaxing in the evening. Sally gave us bread, cakes and eggs for when we arrived which was a lovely gesture.
