The location is great. I felt very safe! The room was clean, fresh and quiet. Breakfast was freshly cooked and there was a lot of choice. I went over to the lovely seaside town of Seaham which wasn't very far away. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were very pleasant and interested in me and my vacation.

Adhoc night away , thoroughly warm welcome from the staff and local patrons . Joined in with Friday night frolics and had a fab night , we will be back to Murton sometime in the future . Gorgeous people and landlord , thankyou so much for a great time .

Location was great and the owners were so very nice. The accommodations were perfect for the 3 of us and wished we could have stayed longer.
We had a fabulous stay. The hotel is pretty new and everything is modern and sparkling clean. The room was fairly small, with no cupboard space (there's a space to hang your clothes) but as we were just staying for the one night this didn't really matter. The room had a lovely sea view and was really comfortable. The bed was amazing, we had a really good night's sleep. Geoff is a fantastic host: our breakfast was lovely and we chatted with him about the hotel and the area.
The breakfast was very good. The room was a bit smaller that we are used to. There was somewhere to sit but it was not a place that was suitable for drying my hair and putting on make-up as the only mirror was not nearby. Anyway, we managed okay. Staff were very accommodating. We hadn't eaten that afternoon but we were told we could have a take-away in the bar. Therefore, a few doors down from the hotel we got a really lovely Chinese Take-Away.

Nothing was a problem and the cleanliness of everything was great. Many thanks for the little gifts you left on our arrival 😊 definitely recommend this property to anyone who is staying in or near Peterlee.
We will definitely try and book this accommodation again on our next visit to see our friends in the area.

What a pleasant stay me and my partner had at The Bell! Room was lovely and clean and the staff were all lovely. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to get breakfast (too much alcohol the night before 😂) but as we were leaving we were offered a sandwich and a cup of tea which we both thought was a lovely gesture. We would both definitely recommend The Bell to anyone looking for a place to stay in peterlee.
A wonderful stay . The hotel is close to the beach. The level of service is personal , very welcoming and was outstanding . Nothing was too much trouble . The breakfast was made to order and was delicious. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
