The room was clean and had everything we needed.
Over night there was heavy snow and we were permitted to stay in the hotel while the roads were clear.
This act of kindness meant a great deal for us as there were no other dog friendly places that we could get to with the funds being so bad. The local shop was closed and we had no food so we were given toast to see us through while waiting. Thank you.

My wife and I were in Otterburn for a wedding so only stayed 1 night. The room was very clean and comfortable.
We were contacted by the owner on our way there to tell us that their hot water system had broken down and if asked we wanted to cancel. As it was only 1 night and we would be out most of the time it wasn't an issue. Nothing much the owner could do especially on a Sunday.

Lovely little cottage, plenty of space in the living room and double bedroom.
Comfy beds in both rooms.
We stayed in Farmhouse cottage with bunks in the second bedroom.

This was our second visit and we intend to go back another time. Avril and Keith made us really welcome, the room was lovely and the breakfast exceptional. The Yellow House is also in a glorious setting. A very enjoyable weekend.

I was traveling for work so didn't get to see as much as I'd like, but Otterburn is a great location for exploring Northumberland national park and surrounding areas.
Kielder water and the village of Bellingham are both nearby and worth a visit as is the village of Elsdon (it's a small village approx 3miles east) the village pub - Bird in Bush is great and cycle friendly with a fixed cycle work station outside.

description of property does not state that the garden is opposite the cottage & not attached & is not secure
The weather was lovely but because of the above it was not possible after a day out to come back to the cottage & sit, relax in the garden

Unfortunately there is no public transport whatsoever to Otterburn and a taxi from Newcastle would have cost a fortune. Luckily we got a lift or it would have been problematic to get there. Only one pub (attached to the wedding venue) within walking distance. We went solely for a wedding. Otherwise not a destination we would have chosen for options to entertain ourselves.

I loved the location, surrounded by the most beautiful countryside.
The standard of the Guest house was outstanding, it looked good and it felt good. Breakfast was superb. the staff (owners) were professional, helpful and couldn't have done more had they tried.
there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, although, I would suggest booking prior to arrival, demand soon outstrips supply.

The bed was so comfy and the shower was lovely and hot. The staff were friendly and helpful. We attended a wedding and the rooms were dressed beautifully. The chocolate and biscuits in the room were a lovely touch. I loved that you could adjust the lighting levels in the room. The decor of the hotel was beautiful and loved the giant mirrors in the corridors and toilets. The outdoor area was beautiful and we loved the fire pits
The cottage was in a great location a short walk to the local shop and pub which served gorgeous food and was friendly and welcoming. Also close to otterburn mill where we had a lovely lunch.
Cracking hotel - great staff, amazing food, nice beer, great room. Cannot recommend it highly enough :-) If you find yourself on the A68 and need a place to stay then this is it!!
