Booked for a wedding at Petit Chateau booked in afternoon, room was excellent with Tea and Coffee provided. Ensuite was clean and with lots of towels.
Breakfast was 10 out of 10, cooked Northumbrian is a must, toast tea or coffee, cereal orange juice yoghurt it was all there on a help yourself basis.
For the price we paid £95 for a family room excellent value for money for the two of us.
I would recommend Butterchurn to anyone.
Thank you for a great stay.

A traditional old farmhouse that was warm and cosy . We loved the view from our bedroom it was beautiful and loved our room . Breakfast had lots of choice and it was lovely . Avril cooked my husband a lovely veggie breakfast with plenty . We were also given fresh melon and strawberries , fruit juice , we felt very well looked after . Yeah it’s a bit in the wilds , maybe ? Have to say the drive from Hexham to West Woodburn was beautiful . Thankyou for sharing your beautiful home and look forward to visiting soon ! If you have space ! .

I was traveling for work so didn't get to see as much as I'd like, but Otterburn is a great location for exploring Northumberland national park and surrounding areas.
Kielder water and the village of Bellingham are both nearby and worth a visit as is the village of Elsdon (it's a small village approx 3miles east) the village pub - Bird in Bush is great and cycle friendly with a fixed cycle work station outside.

description of property does not state that the garden is opposite the cottage & not attached & is not secure
The weather was lovely but because of the above it was not possible after a day out to come back to the cottage & sit, relax in the garden

Unfortunately there is no public transport whatsoever to Otterburn and a taxi from Newcastle would have cost a fortune. Luckily we got a lift or it would have been problematic to get there. Only one pub (attached to the wedding venue) within walking distance. We went solely for a wedding. Otherwise not a destination we would have chosen for options to entertain ourselves.

I loved the location, surrounded by the most beautiful countryside.
The standard of the Guest house was outstanding, it looked good and it felt good. Breakfast was superb. the staff (owners) were professional, helpful and couldn't have done more had they tried.
there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, although, I would suggest booking prior to arrival, demand soon outstrips supply.

The family who run this lovely little hotel are fabulous. Chatty and concerned about your well-being and quality of stay they can’t do enough for you. Lovely food, exceptional breakfast. Spotlessly clean. Perfectly white bedding and white fluffy towels. Fabulous remote location. Stunning view from bedroom.
Otterburn to our dismay had nothing there except otterburn mill and 2 wedding venues one of which was closed for maintenance, Le Petit Chateau opposite our cottage was the only pub but it did serve lovely meals, there's also a small convenience store just up the road
Great location for a family wedding at the hotel in the village. The guest house was pristine and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked.
