With a picturesque setting on the banks of the River Dee, this charming Scottish mansion dates back to 1225 AD, and was once home to the Knights Templar.

Shame I arrived late and left early while it was dark-didnt get to appreciate the riverside setting although my window was right by the river and I could hear it flowing by. Traditional scottish set up, tartan galore, deer antlers everywhere and open fireplace-just lovely. Breakfast was very tasty and the staff super helpful.Bathroom very clean and didnt have that smell that hotel bathrooms sometimes have-couldnt fault it. have decided next visit to Aberdeen will stay here.

From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel welcome. Claudia at reception was very friendly and helpful and showed us to our rooms. The rooms were very clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Fabulous dinner at night, and the best cocktails! Again, all dining and bar staff were great.

A fantastic Christmas day stay at Norwood. We have stayed at Norwood numerous times and had our wedding here last year and the service always delivers. The room was spacious and clean and even came with some treats and a gift for our dog.
The Christmas day meal in the tapestry restaurant was exceptional and we couldn't fault it at all. The food was wonderful and the staff great.
We cant wait to stay again!

I booked last minute on the day, for one night after a change of plans. We spent another night nearby, and if I'd known how nice Maryculter was, I would definitely have stayed both nights.
Fantastic hotel, really friendly staff, great location.

Some of the hotel was very smart and as per the photos on booking.com. Our room was very small in comparison to the photos on the website, and the decor was not of the same standard. I definitely wouldn't call it "delux". However it was pleasant and good value for the £80 we paid (incl breakfast). I'm not sure what the suites on the photos are specified as if our room was delux.

A fabulous hotel. So much history to this hotel. We will definitely be back and highly recommend. The staff couldn't do enough for you. So friendly and just lovely. It's refreshing to stay in a hotel where the staff seem happy in their jobs and always smiling we stayed over 2 nights with my brother and his wife and we all loved this hotel. Great location as only 10 mins into city and we visited the fireballs in Stonehaven for Hogmanay as only a 20 minute drive away which was Superb. Definitely be back.
Maryculter House Hotel is just fabulous. My wife and I have stayed many times, and it never disappoints. Staff are excellent, the location is serene, and the hotel is so comfortable. We will continue to return while it continues to deliver the high-quality stay we enjoy. Our dog also settles immediately we arrive.
