Townhouse Suites- Abbey Row, hotel in Malmesbury

A recently renovated apartment, Townhouse Suites- Abbey Row offers accommodation in Malmesbury. This apartment provides free private parking, a 24-hour front desk, and free Wifi.

Exceptionally helpful and pleasant staff. Reception at the hotel was very good, with a drink offered until the apartment was ready, at which point we were taken the short walk to the property and shown around it. They even booked us a table for dinner on the terrace - which is not usually possible - because a private event had taken over the bar where we had planned to eat. We stayed in one of the townhouse apartments. It's actually a whole house! Beautifully equipped and decorated (for our tastes). Everything was very high quality, from the water provided in the fridge to the beds and bed linens. Couldn't fault the property at all.

The Holford Arms, hotel in Malmesbury

Located in Tetbury, 15 miles from Cotswold Water Park, The Holford Arms provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Our chalet was spacious, modern and bright with a separate lounge area. The pub on the property was cozy and the food and staff were excellent. The only downside was the spotty and weak wifi and the tv did not work. Otherwise I would highly recommend this property.

This was our first visit to Malmesbury and we fell in love with it. It has some excellent shops and some fantastic places to eat. The beer at the Whole Hog was great and the food really good, the staff are very friendly and attentive. It has a great small market on a Friday. The Abbey and museum are well worth a visit and the people are so friendly and helpful. It was a great location to travel from to discover the surrounding areas.

Pretty town and the Abbey is wonderful.

Pretty town and the Abbey is wonderful. Everyone we met in shops, cafes and the street etc. were delightful and very friendly - and obviously proud of their town and all praised the community spirit. A very warm and welcoming atmosphere - and they should be proud. (Quite difficult to buy a Guardian newspaper though!) Only one night stay so never really found the best eateries - although the 'taster' menu near the Abbey looked wonderful!

    Stunning architecture and beautiful sandstone.

Stunning architecture and beautiful sandstone. All the loveliness of the cotswolds without the crowds. VERY interesting historically and lots of information at the tourist office. It is very rewarding to walk around both the town and the adjacent countryside. The town is full of exciting little passageways and tantalising views and the river walks have much wildlife to enjoy. And if you WANT to tear yourself away it's within easy driving distance of many other fascinating places.

Malmesbury is beautiful but we didn’t really see enough of it. We visited to attend the Countryfile event at Charlton Park (it was diabolical, if you’re wondering). Our interest in Malmesbury has been sufficiently stimulated that we would definitely return and stay in the same Hotel. Want to see more of this charming part of the world.
