Ness and Phil were the most welcoming, accommodating hosts. We booked a very last minute stay and they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Great facilities, comfy bed and delicious breakfast, I couldn’t recommend more.

Gregg made us feel very welcome. The room was comfy and had everything we needed, with extra touches like fresh milk and chilled drinking water available in addition to the usual tea and coffee facilities. The breakfast was great - lots of choice and what we had was delicious! The property is ideally located in the middle of Lynton, and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at this charming bed and breakfast. Alison was incredibly attentive to our needs, ensuring we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. She upgraded us to a room with a stunning sea view, which made our stay extra special. The breakfast was amazing, with a great variety of delicious, freshly prepared options. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we would highly recommend staying here!

Lynton is the most amazing find! We went in the middle of winter and it was starting to snow nearby so we’ll definitely be back in spring when it’s warmer to make the most of all the walks!
It’s a dream for hikers and the Valley of the Rocks is so beautiful.
There’s lots of little scenic toll roads and I would say they’re worth taking for the view.

A small and very attractive town popular with day trippers.
A small and very attractive town popular with day trippers. A good place to stay if you like walking in the countryside or along the coastal path. Many of the shops are aimed at tourists, but there are a couple of minimarket grocery shops which provide sufficient for self catering; and several places to eat out if that's what you want. Best to book in advance.

Lynton is a lovely town connected to Lynmouth by a famous funicular. Scenery is amazing and the town has everything you need including some very good restaurants - the Vanilla Pod in town was particularly amazing. Good walking country and breathtaking views of sea and moorland. Some nice indoor activities too - lovely house and mill in Dunster for example.

Lynton is a lovely quiet peaceful village easy on the eye.
Strangely for a holiday resort with lots of self catering accommodation the vast majority of its cafes didn’t open until 10.00a.m. We also noticed that proprietors of these establishments didn’t seem too welcoming. We got the impression we were something of a nuisance rather than embraced as customers.

Fantastic views and centralised amenities.
Fantastic views and centralised amenities. Convenient and good value car parking.
Disappointed that there are only two local pubs neither of which were open at lunchtimes!
I would recommend Lynmouth as a day visit along with Lynmouth. There is very little to warrant a longer stay.

Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable with an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen so made preparing meals for our large party easy Close to Lynton's town centre with its local shops, restaurants (particualrly recommend the tapas restaurant), cinema and of course the Lynton cliff railway. ASDA had lots of delivery slots and deliver to the door for when you need a larger shop. Really enjoyed our week's stay. We know Lynton and Lynmouth well and love the area and if you're coming in a large group then this is the place to stay.
