The whole experience was top notch, starting with a warm welcome, excellent facilities and a wonderful meal in the restaurant.
The bedroom was also very thoughtfully decorated and comfortable, and we enjoyed an excellent night's sleep.
All the staff were professional, attentive and knowledgeable wirth the menu and offered a friendly service second to none.
The range of the courses in the meal we had were very well chosen and the cooking was at an elevated level, all very enjoyable indeed.
We enjoyed one of the best meals and experiences we have ever had at the Hammer & Pincers - we look forward to returning in the future.

I havent visited for a while and the town has changed beyond recognition and not in a good way. The tatty areas are still tatty and a lot of new, soulless development has been plonked into the town. The new road system is incomprehensible. Any good things to look at are hard to find. I never want to go back! Even the Great Central Railway is hidden in a grimy back street, with no parking. Go to the Quorn station instead - lots of parking and 2 cafes.

The apartment was awful, dirty, the shower didn’t work, brown across the ceiling, food up the walls and the toilet must have been leaking as urine and water was coming through the toilet when you stood on the floor boards.

Typical student town, with many young people in evidence.
Typical student town, with many young people in evidence. Safe, friendly feel to the town, even in the evening at the weekend. Lots of variety in the restaurants and cafés, good shopping with some very good independent shops, as well as the usual chains.

Peacock Inn was fine for our one night stay in Loughborough. Our room was clean and nicely decorated with a large TV, The accommodation forms part of the pub which was lively and staff friendly. Close to the town centre and Great Central Railway which was the purpose of our visit,
The room was nice and we had room service which was really lovely.
The hotel is very conveniently situated in the grounds of the University as we were visiting our son.
