Thanks to Cheryl and Andy, we had a wonderful stay at LLanwrtyd Hall. Our accommodation arrangements needed to be changed at the last minute, but thankfully, Cheryl and Andy saved the day and made us (and our 2 dogs) welcome.
Our rooms were warm and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Hot and powerful showers were appreciated and proper - sized cups and a selection of tea and coffee were available. It was clear that nothing was too much trouble and we were particularly grateful for our hosts' kindness and friendliness.
Our breakfasts were delicious, with an amazing selection of cooked items, fruits, cereals and yoghurts on offer. All dietary requirements and preferences were catered for.
We are delighted to have found such a gem, and will definitely be back when we are in the area.
Thank you Cheryl and Andy (and Rascal!)

The smallest town in Wales obviously doesn’t have the amenities of a larger town but it is a good base to tour the surrounding area. 3 pubs and a restaurant take care of evening meals and it’s not too far to a couple of larger towns if you can’t find what you want there.

A lovely little town with the river running through it.
A lovely little town with the river running through it. It is very quiet, but seems to have a nice community. We were welcomed at the heritage centre where there was lots of information about the area. Everything is within walking distance, including the station. The convenience store has a good range of food and other articles such as maps.
There are several restaurants, tea shops and pubs. For a bit of luxury book a meal at the Drovers Arms, with an Egon Ronay chef, a lovely eveningl. A few miles up the road is The Trout at Beulah which provided great food and drink at a good price, so we went there most nights!
We had some lovely walks in the surrounding countryside, there are some fantastic views.

Brilliant place for walkers.
Brilliant place for walkers. Stunning scenery and loads of information available on different length walks (online or in local establishments). It's a small town but it has a few places to eat and is a great base for anyone active. Caffi Sosban and the Drovers Rest provided us with lovely meals

Location of the hotel is imposing and the building looks impressive in it's small town setting. Hotel had it's own charms and quirks; which is to my liking (loved the fifties dressing table!). Breakfast sufficient and good. Pleasant evening and hearty meal in restaurant.
Friendly and accommodating and one of the best breakfast we have had.
The accommodation is comfortable and clean. It’s within walking distance to the town centre with three friendly pubs.
A lovely cosy, quirky hotel. Roger and Katie are fantastic hosts. The rooms are beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. It was a joy to stay here.
Would definitely recommend it.
Very welcoming and friendly couple.
Lovely breakfast and nothing was too much trouble.
