I visited here for a ghost hunt. I liked the fact that I was staying at the place where we were doing our investigation and that I didn't have to travel anywhere afterwards. The room was what I expected. The kitchen facilities were good and the showers were good. It was just very cold.

We chose Llanfyllin because we are walking the Offa's Dyke path. It was easy to do circular walks including the Montgomery Canal too. The countryside is beautiful and tranquil, and full of historical interest. We were able to have evening meals in the hotel as there was a varied menu, and we enjoyed the meals and the breakfasts very much. The hotel is full of character with oak beams and a Jacobean staircase.

Absolutely beautiful cottage the farm was lovely.

Absolutely beautiful cottage the farm was lovely. They had ameet the animals area which I really enjoyed and I know any children visiting would love. A little shop selling eggs, bacon sausages and meat. Plus toothbrush and toothpaste in case you'd forgotten.A library and local crafts and jams. The cottage had everything you could need. Can't wait to return

    Lovely town. Very friendly people.

Lovely town. Very friendly people. The Old New Inn pub is very welcoming, it felt like we had been going for years. The locals were on first name terms by the end of the first night. There's a Restaurant, Chippy, Pub Grub, a couple of shops and a Spar. Beautiful countryside. The Workhouse is very interesting with a lovely cafe where you can sit by the fire. Great coffee. The Church yard is full of history. We were reccommended to take a trip over the tops to Bala which was amazing, about 40 minutes.

Llanfyllin has several pubs that serve food, The Raven just on the outskirts is very popular and was very good. The village has good parking and a well stocked Spar shop. It also has a Chinese takeaway (very good. Cash only) and a chippy which has good reviews. The accommodation was a couple of miles outside of the village.

Really friendly locals that were a real asset to the town.

Really friendly locals that were a real asset to the town. There aren't any taxis readily available in the area (which we didn't know about). I'd recommend calling the hotel a week in advance to see if they could coordinate taxis, if you need them.

A beautifully , kitted out Shepherd's Hut in a stunning location in mid Wales . We loved the views down the valley , the gardens, and of course meeting the animals . We also welcomed the hot tub at the end of our working days ! Host Matt was lovely too and kindly sorted out any issues we had ...e.g. lighting the Barbeque, opening the hot tub or accessing TV channels . Diolch yn fawr. ( PS The Spar in Llanfyllin is the nearest store and is well stocked including the 'Cook' range of food ).

What a gem of a place! Booked at the last minute, we were on our way home from a few days hiking in North Wales and needed somewhere to stay to break our journey. The flat is beautifully appointed, well equipped and has a sofa bed that gave me the best night's sleep I'd had all week! Llanfyllin was a revelation - a very pretty village with rather more there than one might expect. We shall be back, and hope to stay here again.
