The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.
A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.
A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.
Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.
The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.

We have been visiting Wales for many years but Llandudno is a favourite place. A long flat promenade across the bay and many easy to reach other interesting places close by. We have been going at least once a year for some years now and have dined in many different restaurants on offer and not had a poor experience

One of our favourite places to visit in north wales.
One of our favourite places to visit in north wales. The people are so friendly. Peace and quiet can be found and yet if you want lively bars with good live music (which we do!) then these can be found too!

The place is lovely lots of choice for eating out or just sitting people watching short drive to Conwy for a coffee or Ross on sea. The only thing this year was the litter which we've never experienced before that was not good it was the only disappointment. In 1927 my grandparents went to Llandudno for their honeymoon and stayed at the Grand Hotel this was the reason we visited Llandudno 3 years ago and have visited 4 times. The Grand Hotel needs a total refurbishment it's an eyesore now.
We always recommend Llandudno to people of all ages. We took our daughter and nephew this year they loved it and will go back next year.

Towns excellent for shops , nice to go into shops that arnt big chains . One small road has a selection of hippie crystal type rubbish going on but with the icing on the stoners cake being a Harry Potter shop .... which was fantastic .
Theres a long walk on the edge of the beach so having a prom is nice and its easy to stop off at the many hotels for a beer for errrr energy replenishment .
The piers a bit crap but then arnt they all ? , the beach is a bit crap , the views a bit crap .... i could go on .
Beyond this theres a large rock to mess about with and thats your lot .
You can go up the rock via a tram if you so wish ( park at old road ) , walk up if feeling energetic , drive it if you like paying tolls ....
At the top of the rock theres loads of other people and a hole in the ground oh and a cable car , exciting yeah . Theres also the chance of seeing butterflys and a church , almost minutes of fun for all the family . Back down the hill theres errr well theres simply no big show stopper must go to place . We amused ourselfs by popping into ``the worst reviewed hotels`` for a beer and a check out to see if they were correct or not , they were :-) .
Llandudno , fine to spend a night or 2 but dont whatever you do plan a week away . Its has both NO and DUD in the title which gives it away .
The hotel had a smart exterior with a location ideally situated for Llandudno town & seafront. It had good access with ramp provided for those patrons using a wheelchair or pushchair. There was a two tiered terrace for hotel guests to sit out with bar drinks. The hotel public areas were spotlessly clean & tastefully decorated with an open plan restaurant looking out onto the pier & seafront. The hotel had a small lift to all floors.
Suburb b&b. Spotless, comfortable, warm welcome.
Absolutely outstanding and will be returning.
Warner leisure CEO should visit this establishment to be shown how to run their hotels!
More than 5 stars...what more can we say!
We honestly feel that this establishment should receive an award from Llandudno tourism board.
We love Llandudno and often visit for an overnight or weekend stay, the location of the hotel is perfect, and sea view rooms are lovely. The staff are always pleasant and friendly, although the request of photo ID to book in is a tad over the top, in my opinion.
Room with beach view, bed very comfy, room clean .
Tea, coffee, biscuits.
Hangars in wardrobe.
10 minute walk into Llandudno town centre.
Car parking on road outside hotel, never had issue with parking.
