For the price this is an excellent choice. It's bang in the center of Newbury but pretty quiet, Rooms have air con. They are dated but I have stayed at wetherspoons before so not unexpected. Most importantly everything in the room worked and was clean.

Really enjoyed our day here .

Really enjoyed our day here . They opened early as they were expecting to be busy so we got our castel tour over with before the crowds. Great for any Downton Abbey fans!! Lovely gardens and grounds . Plenty to do for a day. Loved the appearances of Lord and Lady Carnavon during the day. Lovely cocktail bar selling fizz.
