The elegant spa town of Harrogate has some of England’s finest Victorian architecture. Lush greenery and colourful flowers also add to the stately atmosphere.

One ongoing Harrogate institution is Bettys Tea Rooms which serves fabulous afternoon tea. Surrounded by the unique shops of the Montpellier Quarter, it overlooks gardens which continue south to meet The Stray – over 200 acres of parkland whose vibrant spring blossom is quite a sight. On the opposite side of town are the Grade II-listed Valley Gardens, whose bandstand hosts summer concerts. The gardens merge into a pine wood which neighbours the acclaimed RHS Harlow Carr Gardens.
Aside from its visual beauty, the town is also important for conferences. Harrogate International Centre is one of the UK’s top convention venues - just one of the reasons why the accommodation industry here is thriving.

We loved Harrogate and the people/staff we experienced were exceptional, we will be back. Bettys tea room got ticked of the bucket list, amazing experience, wouldn't order afternoon tea again, value for money was poor but additional cream/Custard slice was lush

I enjoyed seeing the historical Victorian buildings, including the old baths. There are plenty of pretty small streets to explore in the town centre with some lovely shops. Sadly there are many empty shops as there are in most parts of the UK at the moment. There were some delightful independent restaurants. The best thing was a visit to the Turkish baths. It was very relaxing and the original decor was lovely.

Harrogate is a busy town with lots of shops and restaurants.
Harrogate is a busy town with lots of shops and restaurants. It has attractive buildings and lots of places to visit within a bus ride away such as Riply Castle which is in an beautiful little village with gift shops, tea rooms and of course the castle and grounds. Harrogate is definitely worth a visit although despite being a little expensive to shop and eat. The Turkish Baths are an enjoyable and relaxing experience where you can use the steam rooms, hot rooms and cold plunge pool. This was a great experience.

Great hotel, 10 minute walk form the city centre, loads of parking (£15 for 24 hours). The leisure facilities, swimming pool, hot tub etc, were superb. The rooms were big, very clean and well maintained.
We found the staff friendly and helpful.
The hotel has real historic presence and the internal areas are beautiful.
The breakfast was amazing, so much choice.
Superb hotel near everything that you want in Harrogate, we found a lovely Turkish restaurant 5 minutes away.
I would absolutely stay there again.
Breakfast was really good, best scambled egg I've ever had at a hotel! Location was next door to the place I was going and right in the town centre! The building had an amazing story too as it was very old and featured in the spa history of Harrogate! there were cool newspaper clippings and pictures of the hotel in years gone by. Really interesting.
I checked in easily and one of the reception staff was kind enough to put a parking permit in my car. The hotel staff were nice and friendly, and the other guests were friendly too. The hotel is very close to the centre of Harrogate and a most stunning park which I was able to take my dog for a walk in.
The best night’s sleep I have had in a long time, due to a comfy bed and no disturbance from inside or outside the hotel. Handy for the conference centre, Harrogate shops and Valley Gardens. A good breakfast with excellent service.
Very convenient to Harrogate city centre.
Very clean rooms.

Car parking in basement of hotel only £10.00 for every 24 hours
