This is a beautiful town and hotel right over the Welsh border from England. We loved our stay and the family room was perfect for our group of four. Breakfast was delicious and got us ready for the day! We didn't get there early enough to relax in the bar but we'll have to come back and try that out!
The hotel is in Llangollen town center, looking out over the River Dee. It mixes original character with modern comforts, including free Wi-Fi, free parking and a riverside garden.

Nice room, very well decorated. The separate sitting area excellent as we entertained friends there.
Parking with my 'blue badge' was good.

This little gem of a place exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here . It is a quiet peaceful place in a lovely country setting and the staff are brilliant as well as the food and service is top notch. Breakfast and dinner are both delightful experiences with good food and plenty of choices for all tastes. Love the freebies extras which were of really good quality too and there was nothing we did not like so 100% and more for this sensational place to stay. Fully recommend it to anyone who loves quality and peace and quiet and excellent customer service. We will be back again for 2 nights next time.

Nice, quiet place to unwind. The breakfast was very well set-up and they had excellent choices for children too.
The staff at check-in was friendly and welcoming however can't say the same for another during dinner and breakfast downstairs.

Although the hotel was charming in some respects, it lacked adiquate comfortable seating in the bar area. There are no pool tables as suggested in the description, and the bedroom we had was somewhat smaller than pictured. However! On the plus side the shower was wonderful!
Breakfast was disappointing, only a continental option with the ham looking as though it had been out of the fridge for a day! The evening meal was just okay and very basic.

Glyn Ceiriog is a lovely little village a mile or so away .
Glyn Ceiriog is a lovely little village a mile or so away . The Mulberry Inn is actually not there but the tiny village before called Dolywern .
We ate at the hotel as I’d read good reports and also it was bitterly cold for going outside !
We were over in Wales for a funeral with little spare time . But managed to buy fresh trout to bring home from The Trout Farm nearby .
Scenery is gorgeous
