Fantastic B&B. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Help yourself breakfast was perfect for us. It was quiet, and we slept very well.

The apartment is really nice and comes with everything you need for your stay, the shop, pub, leisure facilities are a nice walk or short drive away.
Due to the late check in time and bad weather it was quite difficult to use the lock box to get the key.
We were there during storm Darragh and discovered that the living room window has a slight gap, but wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't for the strong winds.
A good beach and walks to the Brigg and beyond.
An interesting array of independent shops. A surprising selection of restaurants and pubs with real ale.
Train and bus services to nearby towns and places of interest.

We were able to get a cup of tea and other refreshments with toilets nearby even in November. It is a lovely coastline with plenty of interest and benches and seating around for when you need to rest. We enjoyed visiting the local shops and people were very friendly

Filey.
Filey. Is a pretty quiet seaside town and has plenty to do and nice beaches.there are several restaurants and bars plus gift shops.
There are also some nice walks and it is also dog friendly.
Not that we had a dog but quite a lot of locals seem to have them.
We visited an old pub called Foords and the bar staff and locals were very friendly.
We will certainly have to visit that establishment on our next return.

Filey is great if you have young kids and you don't want the rat race of Scarborough or Whitby. There isn't a lot to do there besides the beach which is one of the best and not too crowded because it is very long.
There are some lovely pubs and restaurants which are on par with the bigger resort towns but i have to say one pub we ate regularly in while we were there The Star the food was excellent and no more expensive than anywhere else.
There are kids play areas at the far ends of the main beach areas, They do charge a lot for some of the rides but some are cheap,The ice cream sellers are charging alot.
There is only one major store in Filey which is Tesco but they have pretty much everything you will need.

Loved the location of the apartment. Close to the train station and ease of parking. Felt comfortable a real home from home. Quieter than I thought it would be. Only 5 mins to walk into Filey. Lovely and clean and loads of facilities. Would visit again.
