Excellent value so no real complaints. Upgraded to seaview room. Hotel is old with a warren of corridors and stairs but has been recently redecorated so all is bright and clean. Plenty of room for clothes storage, good location, pleasant staff. Room very cosy.

There is a large shopping arcade called the Beacon and a long shopping area although 2 of the biggest shops are closed which brought so much more to the town. It does give that area a certain run down look which needs to be addressed but as many councils in England, they have no money. The seafront and pier is beautiful and a long walk is more than possible all the way to Beachy Head if you are so inclined.

better to review the hotel's in person as many are not friendly. I would recommend the Devonshire hotel as friendly and good breakfast. alot of the hotels I have been in did not care about the customer and customer services were not good or they did not care, so research the hotels first. many in Eastbourne do want to do very little to help lone people on holiday or for trips.
sorry do not recommend Eastbourne AS AN AREA FED UP WITH IT. ALL.

Xmas music at the Bandstand, well supported by the public and really enjoyable, both the Silver Band on Christmas Day morning which was a major part of my decision to come for Xmas, and the band on Boxing Day. The Proms are great for ambling and also for viewing the many dogs and their fashion wear, and the Pier nicely smartened up with a variety of food options, but particularly the lovely cafe. I didn’t get the hang of the bus routes, didn’t see any info at the hotel about ones nearby, but will have to come back in the summer to visit Beachy Head etc.

This is not a 5 star hotel so you cannot expect it to be.
For the price you pay its more than adequate. Clean and tidy room. Lovely friendly staff and a nice breakfast with everything you would expect.
Location is perfect due to being on the seafront and no more than a 5/10 minute walk to the town centre and right opposite the pier. Our room had a lovely sea view although due to the wind and rain made it look slightly bleak.
All in all very happy with our stay.
Seafront so good views from my room which was spotless and comfortable. Good wifi in room. Good selection of restaurants and cafes in next street. Nice walking along front to pier etc or town centre. Hotel room only. Tea and coffee with kettle in room. Very clean throughout. Very good price. Helpful staff and smiles!
The hotel is just across the road from the Eastbourne theatres and has an early check in so is ideal when going to the theatre. It is also very close to the seafront which makes it an ideal location.
The room was a good size with a fantastic sea view. Plenty of choice at breakfast with very helpful staff. Hotel is very centrally located for both the seafront and the town centre
