Forget Earlish village, eat at The Galley Seafood Cafe, it's good value, very good food with excellent staff (not the rip off overpriced rubbish you get in Portree harbour). We paid £56 for a meal well worth £30 at the Sea Breezes, surly waitress, cramped seating and noisy Muzak.
Buy your travelling grub at the CO-OP in Portree, its island prices but not too weighted. Fuel at the GULF petrol station was £1.27 ltr, its £1.35 ltr in the Outer Hebrides.
